Its Over!

i caught the damn damsel!!! AHHHHAHAHA. took me over an hour.

i had to get it out because everyday it hated seeing my SPS, so it would rearrange frags, cover them up with sand... when i would blow the sand off it would come back and do it again.

after my girlfriend calling me a wuss for not doing something about it, i finally did it. took out live rock and ended up disturbing old sand arround, but it was worth it.

at one point it got cornered and ran into my anemone, it stung the crap out of it and almost didnt make it out. it was so tired once i put it in the bucket that it decided to take a breather and lie down.

now my girlfriend is saying, "poor fishy."

:lol2: :mixed:

Yea I still haven't heard of anyone that's gotten a damsel and enjoyed it long term. I'm surprised you didn't just suspend a clear plastic bag in there like one from the LFS, and just let the damsel wander in there to get trapped... Same result either way though I guess.

i didnt think i would ever get that damn thing out!!! now its in my sump and its home is between my skimmer and the skimmer pump

ive tried that before with other types of fish, but it didnt work out too well. towards the end it just got tired and stayed still, gasping.

i was actually okay with the fish; it was supposd to the least aggressive of the damsels. a blue damsel yellow tail. but i just didnt like seeing my corals get covered in sand like that

I love the plastic bag method, but damsels some how seem to be the biggest PITA's going. I had to pull every piece of LR and coral out of my friends 135 to get a chromis and rotten stinkin filthy miserable domino damsel out.

I "learnt" my lesson and have NEVER put one in any of my tanks!

is it going to be okay in the 12x12 compartment in my sump? i have my octopus pump/skimmer in there with a maxijet pump and the flow from my overflowbox

its going to be there temporarily until my friend picks it up for his tank

i just got one out today also got tired and just yanked out all my rock after plastic bag method and water bottle method didnt work
