Jackson's 115 Gallon Custom Cube 32x32x26

Rich: Absolutely amazing. Whenever I think about getting out of the hobby your tank inspires me to stay in. Great job.

Richard,

We need more pictures!

Such rich deep acro colors.

:) I'll take more this evening. Thanks.

Rich: Absolutely amazing. Whenever I think about getting out of the hobby your tank inspires me to stay in. Great job.

Thanks Ernie. I tried getting out before but that only lasted for 6 months, and when I tried keeping i small with a nano I ended up taking that to the extreme. Seems that this is a life long hobby so I don't thin you'll be leaving for any amount of time :). I think the changes you're making to your reef will refresh your interest again.

Really nice! That Pearlberry...wow, adjectives fall short when describing that intense coloration.

That pic is from the top down and just about 100% accurate to what I see in person. It really is an amazing acro. I'm surprised how fast it has been growing lately.

Tank is looking amazing Rich! What is your current feeding routine? How many frozen cubes are you feeding per day?

Thanks Marty. How's the new system coming along? I haven't been feeding mysis lately, only LRS reef frenzy herbivore, pellets, and flakes. I'm feeding once per day with a 2"x2" piece of this frozen sheet, and usually another feeding with a variety of new era, spectrum, cobalt, and OSi flakes.

I will post pics and a video later. I thinned out a few corals, especially stuff on the sandbed to reduce clutter a little. It's a work in progress :)

I am running into a problem that is a good thing and a bad thing :). The SPS are getting larger and starting to shadow each other and touch. Touching is an easy fix, but the shadowing is becoming an issue. I am seeing color loss on certain shaded corals, and even a little tissue loss of extreme shaded areas (corals don't die though).
The T5's in the Giesemann fixture are dim in comparison to an ATI fixture. Ati's have better reflectors, but I'm first going to try changing to a higher output ballast to see what difference that makes. If that doesn't help with the shading I may end up making a floating canopy and retrofitting in a larger halide reflector and more t5's along with the reefbrites. I would love to put 12 or 14 t5's over this tank, but at this point I don't think I can live without the Radium. The colors are the best I ever had. As for LED"¦. No:o

I took a bunch a pic and a video which I am uploading to youtube that I'll post later. Everything taken with an iphone6 unedited.

Plana/Deswalii type (wild)

Bright yellow wild Aussie Piece that I've been growing for 8 months. It did have red polyps originally and I can see a faint hint of red coming back. Fingers crossed!!!

Aqua SD Rainbow Milli

Milka Stylo which I may remove for more room, but I love the color. It's hard to part with :/

My favorite stage (Albrohensis) grown from a mariculture frag. Growing fast now about 8"

This is that special Rainbow Tenuis that I've been growing. This coral has been a PITA. I lost color on it for a couple of months due to a branch shifting and the coral losing direct light. It NEEDS bright direct light to keep the red highlights. It's coloring up more and more each day, an has gotten pretty large. It's the centerpiece of my reef.

Tyree PM which developed some green polyps that i never had happen before. purple coloration has gotten very intense. I like this better than the pale purple PM's I kept in the past :

Pearlberry…. No words for this one

Red Table begging to be fragged but i just let it grow :)

Not sure if this is a stag or milli, leaning towards milli. This is an old school coral from my area that has been in great reefs of the past. I haven't gotten super color from it yet. It's a teal color with great PE. I've seen this go intense navy blue in other tanks. We'll see how it develops.

A blasto from a local vendor called "Pandora's Charm" that grew on me :)

Thanks Mike. Don't worry about the bites, it's more like wiping loads of dog saliva off. He will lick you to death :D

Wow Richard...I've been following your tanks throughout the years and its always been a joy following your tank threads and looking at the update photos.

The colours you are pulling from that Pearlberry is crazy...simply one of the best examples I've seen of the colours on this coral.

This is outstanding tank; keep going...not long now for TOTM. You know your SPS stuff, and you've executed this tank so well; such awesome result in such a short space of time. You are easily in my books; one of the SPS legends.

Thanks for sharing all of this with us. :)

Thank you for the good words Sahin. I'm glad you can appreciate it from so far way. SPS Legend… that's funny:roll face: I just spend too much time reefing over the last 10 years LMAO!
I am overcoming an injury this winter (pectoral tear) so I will be extra diligent with my down time which may be a good things since I am there to notice any change, or bad thing when I have dumb impulse ideas that I may succumb to
That pearberry surprised me as well :) It's in my top 3 corals for sure. Thanks again for the good words.

Looks amazing! Tons of growth since i was there! Can't wait to see it again

Thanks Luke. Looking forward to having you guys by next month :)

tank looks great! I told myself I wouldn't upgrade for a while but I think I'm going to this winter.im nearly out of room. I really like the marineland 93 cube. Do you like the size or would you have gone bigger?
