Jackson's 115 Gallon Custom Cube 32x32x26

tank looks great! I told myself I wouldn't upgrade for a while but I think I'm going to this winter.im nearly out of room. I really like the marineland 93 cube. Do you like the size or would you have gone bigger?

Thank you. The 93 cube is great but if you had my lighting you can have a larger tank with no real additional cost to maintain. I went 32x32 on my cube but I could have went has big as 36x36 and gotten by with my lighting. Always go bigger if it's an option.

Here's a video from today taken with an iphone6

Always enjoy your videos..when watching the video in 60fps in top down view I literally thought "mother of god"..

Thanks Marty. How's the new system coming along? I haven't been feeding mysis lately, only LRS reef frenzy herbivore, pellets, and flakes. I'm feeding once per day with a 2"x2" piece of this frozen sheet, and usually another feeding with a variety of new era, spectrum, cobalt, and OSi flakes.
I'm still waiting on reef savvy to complete the tank. Hoping it will be finished by the end of this month. I'm getting anxious and can't wait to start my new build. As part of my winnings, I'm receiving a years supply of the LRS reef frenzy food... Can't wait to try it out :)

I'll be proud if I can produce a tank just half as nice as yours!

swoooon!

This is that special Rainbow Tenuis that I've been growing. This coral has been a PITA. I lost color on it for a couple of months due to a branch shifting and the coral losing direct light. It NEEDS bright direct light to keep the red highlights. It's coloring up more and more each day, an has gotten pretty large. It's the centerpiece of my reef.

LOL Thanks. I kind of have the same response when I look at the top down view, especially with that tenuis getting the red again. The approach I have taken with this reef is something I haven't done before, so I continue to be surprised at the results.

Marty you have everything you need for an awesome reef. The LRS food is great. You don't have to rinse it, so it's good to feed in a rush. All different particle size for different fish as well.

Looks great Richard colors are amazing. .

Thanks cugly!

Yep!

Love it ... Simply beautiful

Thank's AG :)

This all makes me want to switch back to radiums. That pearlberry is probably my favorite one in the tank.

+1

I'm thinking lately...forget the damn electricity and 6 monthly bulb replacement costs...and just get the Radiums...

Having said that; the most amazing colours I ever saw on any tank was under an 8 tube ATI Sunpower at my LFS...the colours were truly amazing when the tank was well looked after...

Now the tank looks blah...its not being looked after properly and has Radions Pros over it. I dont blame the lights; but rather the maintenance of the tank.

Amazing tank! Love how rich and deep your colors are, sorry if I missed it but how many fish you have?

Rich, I know you dose 2-part Ca and Alk but I didn't see anywhere how you are maintaining Mg. Are you keeping levels up with just regular water changes?

Nice update.

Thank you :)

The spectrum of the radium with blue LED strips is the best spectrum I have ever seen for reef lighting. I only use the t5's to eliminated shadows. I actually built the tank around the lighting :)

Thanks Jstn, I have 22 fish I think. I recently had to get rid of my super male lame wrasse :(. My Labouti wrasse decided to start fighting badly with him. I'd rather have the flame, but I couldn't catch the labouti. Didn't want to see the flame harmed.

Marty, I manually dose B-ionic MG once per week or when I remember :). My levels are usually 1200-1350. I don't see a difference either way. I have an extra module on my doser that I'm not using, I probably should just dose the MG.

I just did the dumbest thing......i watched the video:(:(
Now i'm playing heads or tails whether i'll unplug my tank or not:bum::bum:
Thanks for that richard:lolspin:

The colors, the species, the growth, the placement and morphology of your reef in general....:inlove::inlove:
I agree with sahin...you are heading towards totm fast rich:thumbsup:

Mike, that's a heck of compliment. I really appreciate it, thanks :)
I am making tough decisions now, removing certain pieces. I'm trying to keep the looked balanced, but I have to make room for growth. The shading and touching between corals is taking its toll on a few pieces. This tank is stressing me out lately :hmm5::crazy1:

I think it's time for you to sell your setup to me and upgrade to something larger to make room for all those great corals to grow out! :)
