I am going to put the sugar sized sand around the base of the rock and then cover it with special grade sand.

I just orderd the same sand.(special grade sand) How do you like yours? Is it too fine?

Did you rinse your sand before you added it to tank?
I got my rock and water in today. I will add sand tomorrow

I put my sand in first with egg crate on bottom to keep the rock up.
I was going to rinse it first but was too lazy. But I plan on cycling my tank for 2 months before adding any live stock.:fish1:

Here are a couple of new toys yet to be plumbed in.

Did a 100gal water change to remove some major nitrates. My no3 was about
50 ppm now they are about 30 ppm. Everything was brown and now it is turning white again. It has been on line for 1 month now.

It is so hard to be patient.:hmm3:

I would get a bigger tank...

:hmm3: I like the way you think

Awesome reactors! I wish I had that much room to move around space things out! Lol

Which is one of the reasons why I started this build. I love the back side of the DT as much as the front. I enjoy showing visitors the whole system. The first thing that comes out of there mouth is ... Where did you learn all this? :)
