Jacqueline's Reef 290 Build

I have read good things about that bulb in other threads. I will look in to that.

Do you think I should go with all 4 blue bulbs on the T5s?

The 250w 14Ks are a bit yellow to my eye. The 400w version is closer to 14K.

In 250 watt bulbs, I really like the Radiums and currently switched to Phoenix and really like them a lot too. Both of these bulbs are blue-ish, but they look really nice. There are a lot of so-called 12-14K bulbs that command a lot of $$$, but I think most of them are white to the eye and don't justify the big bucks. Hershel really liked his Reeflux 250 watt 12Ks and I think Fade used them and liked them a lot as well. They are relatively inexpensive and colored nicely.

Thanks Dave for the info. That is what is great about this forum, I can learn from someone else's experience.

Made a little progress on the room ths past weekend. Was able to get the FRP on the wall. It was very easy to work other than the glue being a bit messy. I was able to cut it with avation snips.

I really like the way it turned out. Should be very moisture resistant.

With the wood behind it, I will have plenty of support for mounting hardware, piping, etc...

Looks great Dave! That room is coming together fast! I can't even seem to find the time to go through the junk that's taking up the space I want to use for moving my sump to the basement.

Lookin good!

Thanks! Daniel, Its a slow process when you are limited on time.

Sweet:) Nice looking work there, Dave.

Appreciate it Nook considering the impressive fish room you have.:smokin:

That's a very impressive fish room. I wish I had that much space.

Thanks Nick, It is coming along pretty good. I am loving the room and really getting into making it a place to hang out and Party:beer:

Thanks, I am spending a lot of time down there trying to get as far as possible so I can order my tank. It keeps growing. I think I am going to
go 36"w to make it a 350.

Dam! Now I have to start over :D

Was able to get my RO/DI back on line. My nano is being neglected and needs a water change bad.

Also got the back wall premiered and painted. Just don't look to close. I was in a hurry to get it done and I missed a couple of spots sanding and sponging.

Lookin good dave that's one heck of an ro/di unit

I bought it used and replaced all filters and membrane in it. I also put a duel yes meter on it. I am not going to cut corners when it comes to water quality.
I did that the first time.:D

Man, that fish room is looking nice Dave! Do you have an Idea as to when you're going to be ordering the tank?
