Greetings folks,

Thanks again for all in attendance at the Frag Raffle. Really appreciate the turnout. I expect folks were quite pleased with the goodies they nabbed. We had a generous collection for sure!

So, what's next?? Clittrell has arranged a special tour on our behalf. Details from Chris follow below. Hope to see you there!!

Where:
Fairfield Country Day School
2970 Bronson Road, Fairfield CT

When:
Sunday, January 12, 2014 | 1PM Start time

=============== Meeting Details ===============

Come see the tanks at Fairfield Country Day School. I have installed and maintain the tanks at the school that I work at. There are several tanks running in the building.

The setups include...

180 Gallon custom in-wall Saltwater setup.
DIY LED light and filter setup with Apex Controller.

180 Gallon custom in-wall Freshwater setup.
DIY LED light and filter setup with Apex Controller.

55 Gallon Trout Setup with about 150 fry and a big chiller. The water is 45°F. Currently they still have yoke sacks. Will be eating real food by the meeting. Got the eggs in November will release the trout in the spring.

90 Gallon lower school fish tank.

The school is located at 2970 Bronson Road, Fairfield CT. Park in the admin lot, not the loop driveway. Look for the blue door. Meet at school about 1:00. We can look at the tanks and then if people want to head to downtown Fairfield we can get some food and drinks at Archie Moores; about 5 min away.

Steve,

It will be good to see you. I'm interested in what you think of the color on the SW tank. used some of your ideas when I made the build.

You flatter me Chris. But it is always a pleasure!

I may be a tad late, as I've got to take my son to LaGuardia before the meeting. It there are no traffic issues I should be right on time. But we ARE talking about LaGuardia...

Hey Chris,

Long time no see .. Missed you at my house and at Mikes the last week..

Keep in touch.. Look forward to visiting the school. Your new tank up at home yet .. I have a frag or two waiting!.,

THATs a bummer! And kinda funny. ;)

Maybe tomorrow? I'm certainly looking forward to it!

I would have come but I had a million things to do on Sunday. Sundays are always really difficult days for me and both dang clubs hold their meetings on Sundays! I'm not saying anyone should change the day for me though. I just can't always come on a Sunday.

Thanks Chris for a peek at a really neat set up. I always learn a few things new. Sorry I couldn't make Archie Moore's. As it turns out the volleyball as a bit of a bust. Next time!

Also thanks Joe for the advice that should have been easy enough to figure out on my skimmer issues. I ran a bunch of carbon to get rid of the putty contaminates and now it runs as always!

Looking forward to next meeting. I would be happy to host.

I was impressed with how CLEAN the build was. And SERIOUS built tanks. But I'm MOST impressed with a chiller that keeps those cute little trout at 47 degrees. :)

Awesome job. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to catch some tasty trout in a few years!

Thanks for hosting!!

Don't have details yet, but next meeting is our big Annual meeting. Always held in March, always free pizza and refreshments, generally a frag raffle, sometimes a door prize. Anyone interested in holding office (pres, vp, treasurer), or a director's seat, should be thinking it over, as we'll be holding elections that meeting.

Any member in good standing can hold office, or be a director. That means someone anyone who has attended two meetings in a 12 month period, who's dues are paid, and has attended at least one meeting within the prior twelve months. That's most of us. ;)

But that part of the meeting is always short and painless. The pizza and refreshments is always a lot more fun. :)
