JASON FOX FLAME placement?

Placement ? light? flow?
The frag I have doesn't look anything like the sites pic.
Maybe its still small and needs to color up?
I don't have that red base but do have the yellow tip.
You guys have any pics?

Some site pictures grease them up a bit. Should be more red than beige, though. How long have you had it?... it can take months for frags to color up.

Mine has encrusted forever. It has a rust color in daylight, and under actinic looks more red.

Mid to lower light - Med flow .

This is one of those that take time and a lot of pacience.
It goes threw phases it's ugly at first then puts on make up :)

Mine from last month (under actinics)

It's about 8 in from the surface. Under one of the radion pucks
I ramp up and down 12 hr with 4 hrs max of 80%
Guess it just has to be larger to gets its color
Maybe too far down since I notice a orange passion Frag I have which is only a 1 in big was able to retain color just few inches from the surface

What are your Nitrates at? I run about 5ppm Nitrate and mine has a nice red color, no white. It did take a month or two before I saw the yellow tips though.

This one of those 'photo shop' corals IMO. I have yet to see any examples of it in person (coral shows and including my own frag) that look anything like the online pictures. Caveat emptor!
