Andy just added to the 29g! I get home he says nothing, I am doing the usual check out all the tanks get to the 29g and there he is with his beautifull little eyes staring at me!!! Talk about a friendly fish. What a personality!!! WOW the price had better be worth it, we already fished him out of the back of the tank. Thank god he did not go over board the first night. Some how he did not get sucked into the pump eigther... Lets see how it goes...

Blue Spotted or pearl?

Congrats!! :)

the way she talks about the price, my assumption would be a blue spot since the pearls aren't a benji+ LOL

Yes Andy has that nikkon D90. Get some use out of it and post some pic.
So is that blue spot jawfish at the critter.

It was a blue spotted jawfish. Sadly, was...it jumped out the tank last night. Now I have to get another one and wait for one I like.

It happens. I will get another one once I find one I like. It is a shame. I did not think he'd jump out the 29..maybe have to put him in with the 2 damsels in the covered 24 nano, but I preferred the 29 for him.

I see Andy let you know about the leap of death. I get so upset when something dies. He was so cool I am glad to see we are looking into another. Thanks for your support guys! We need to get him in the covered tank. Will he servive our little devils though?! Out yellow tail damsels are very agressive.

Sorry to hear bout your jawfish andy :(

I have to make sure I get a tank with a cover bc if any of my fishies jump I would be really upset! Good luck with the next one, make sure and give him a good talking to when he arrives so maybe he will know better than to jump ;)

It happens to all of us...Kamakaze fish exist. With my metal halide lights, no covers becasue heat will build up.

i think we need to DIY ya a mesh lid so the fishies stay in, but the heat stays out
:D

should be relatively easy to make something that would look very good & be extremly functional :)

It would be nice to have something that blocks minimal amounts of light, lets the tank breathe and still keeps the fish in.

Sorry to hear about the jawfish, those are fun little critters.

my idea is to take a piece of 1/4" acrylic cut to fit where you would put a glass top. then cut the center out leaving about a 1-2" solid border (like a picture frame). then you drill holes all the way around & then lace the holes w/ uv resistant fishing line in an over/under side to side pattern like a tennis racket

keeps the fish in, blocks practically zero light, allows for gas exchange & doesn't trap heat
