Sweet Grant! I love the colors of the jawfish and the the clarity of the shot. I agree the spots on the glass in shot 2 are very distracting. Cool fish though. +1 for the awesome dorsal. Some kind of blenny?

Yes, I ran noise reduction software, but I didnt really need to, I just do it as sort of a standard procedure on all my pictures unless they are under ISO400.

I think I took these about ISO800, so I went ahead and raise the noise reduction.

The key to clarity with fish is, imo, high shutter speed. I handheld all the shots and was close to the subject using my 100mm macro. I was at at least 1/250th shutter speed, if not 1/320th. And I manual focus whenever possible. As long as you can hold steady enough, it helps to get the eyes in focus and that either makes or breaks the shot
