Jawsee's Reef

Today i moved the MH back to illuminate the tank together whit the t5 bulbs.

I removed and sold the led that was above the tank. They where good but is was not my kind off light.

Now i see the MH again the only thing i can say i missed this, now the tank is bright again whit a lot of light everywhere;)

I'm with you on the "old school" lighting versus LED. I still use a blend of MH & T5 myself and although it costs more to run & creates more heat I personally think it's well worth it.
Glad to see you're still at it, keep up the good work!

Thanks Mo,that was my intention, the fish love to swim under these:dance:
I agree with Kevin. I like that open look... When the corals grow over the branching rock, it will become like a cave!...

Mo

Thanks
set up is amazing

Hi Mo,the alcohol in the vinigear is bac's food, fur the rest you can have some benefit by longer polip extension, smel at some zeo bottles and you now what i mean:p
I hope next weekend to be finished whit cleaning everyhing and the right side off the tank, then i make a video, now the cellar is really a mess haha.
Hi Luc,

If your nitrates were always zero, why did you decide to dose vinegar?.Did you need it?. Do you notice other benefits from dosing?.

Can you post a random video of your system please?. I love watching your videos!!..

Mo

Thanks, nice you liked it,it was a good day haha.
First of all ,conratulations luc.

secondly , i dont think you will ever be finished

your tank is an inspiration and your germany tour, well ive seen that video close to 50 times and still see new corals every time i watch it.

Thanks,i am happy again whit my old lights:p.

At the end from the week two very small clarionensis angels will come in the system(around 6 a 7 cm).

One or two weeks they stay in the cellar and than in the maintank,i prefer the smallest i can get so they can easily swim between the rocks the first day's if there is some agression from the other angels in the tank, let's cross fingers everything goes well

a small video from the left side, allready whit some corals on but still a lot off room for some other pieces.

Hi Luc,

I really like what you have done with the left hand side very open and plenty of swimming space in and around the rock work.

Happy New Year too you and thanks for sharing your amazing tank with all of us on reefcentral.

Paul.

Nice video, Luc!.

Are you taking any pre-cautions with SPS pests, or just letting all of your wrasses have a nice meal?!...

Can't wait to see the right side... and the Clarion Angels!! :uzi:

Thanks
Mo

Wow, those are beautiful angels. I have never heard of them before. I just did a search and found some good info on them. They are definately not cheap, and to have two of them is incredible.

Great addition to your tank.

Thanks for creating the video.

Wow, Luc. Incredible!.
I haven't seen these so small before!.

Arie must have owed you a few favours for him to look for these so small?!.

They are nice for sure, waited a long time too have them so small,if they where too big i don't buy them.

Hi Luc,

My camera got stolen, so no photo until I get it replaced....
Meanwhile, I did increase the flow around the tank as there was some obstruction from the corals. I drilled my ceramic walls and added some MP60's into the rock walls. Massive flow now!, with battery backup as well!.

How is your male China wrasse?.

Mo

Very very rare,very very nice
I asked Arie for the price when i saw them in stock....
They will be fine with you
Always impressive with your installation
