Hi all, Just wanted to share my new adventure with a new Nano.

I have to say I was a little worried about ordering online with all the post that I have read..so I am keeping my fingers crossed still yet...

Now I am just testing with reg tap water for now. I want to make sure everything holds up and NO Leaks.

Very Nice, what is the extra flow... what size pump? It comes with a pump that pushes 290gph I think and then you added an extra with a split, which is good.
 
I've been wanting a 12g nano for a few months now, but I need to get this 46 gallon freshwater tank out of my room first.

Where did you end up ordering from?

We are too Amanda. They did an awsome job in the pakaging. I was very pleased.

Next up will be tomorrow adding the sand. rock and water and corals and if I can catch 2 of my clowns that haven't mated up yet one is new and I have 2 other that are mated up that I will leave with the large anemone in the other tank. So this will be an ALLDAYER!!!!!!! LOL

As far as the Extra flow I had ordered the pump 350 gph

Then I had ordered the bulkhead from foster and smith and 90* elbow and some tubing all that I ordered was 1/2"and I got the hoses from www.modularhose.com and they put it together for me.

We drilled using 1 1/8" bit and it worked out great:)

Thanks. I didn't see that b/c I got to this thread from a link she posted in the Alabama forum. I read what she wrote in there, and then followed the link to look at the pictures...
 
yeah i just put in my order with nanotuners also.. price couldn't be beat.. including shipping and taxes.. was still like 30 dollars cheaper then any of my local stores.. ordered a UV sterilizer.. and their mod for the moonlights too... i live pretty close to em.. so hopefully i'll get it soon (and in one piece).. tank looks very nice and i can tell you planned out everything.. ordering from diff sites and all

I know you will be very pleased. Their prices are really good. and it was on SALE :)
I had wondered about the UV Sterilizer too, but I haven't read about anyone who has tried it. Let me know how you like it. Also did you order the NanoCube? Or just what you posted? The reason I am asking is that this one came with moonlights already installed.
I had a lot of help here on RC. Just reading through other reefers post helped out ALOT !!! Lots of really nice and Helpful people here.

Hey ;)

Tomorrow I will be changing things up. I will be moving rock and water and Corals and 2 Clown Fish and 1 red fire Shrimp if I can catch them.... from My 85 gal. Cube. So things will be changing in the Big cube. So I thought I would take a few pics. of how it looks today.
The first ones are of this morning before the lights came on. The Brittle Star was On The Move..haha

The Nano Cube will the be a softie tank.

I have made the egg crate shelf for the big tank to stack the rocks on, Now if it works.... Is the question..lol We will find out.

I am mixing water and trying to get things ready to go to work in the morningl. Boy, do I wish some of you could help me. I figure I will be one pooped out reefer tomorrow night...:)

I will try to post my progress during the day if I can.

I really liked what you you did to yours. Have you found out anything on yours yet?

We are still working on the transfer and boy am I already tired. My back is give out... But this is one thing you don't stop on for very long. Whooosh !!!!!!!!

I smell like a fish!!!!!!!!!! LOL:eek1:

Yippie!!! I am NEARLY finished ! Still a little more tweaking and then (I can clean things up....but that will have to wait until tomorrow).I am Really Beat!!!! If my hubby didn't help me I would still be in a mess!!!. He's wore out too, I just went down stairs and he fell asleep in his chair....ha ha. If I sat down I would be out too...lol

I have to say, after the water settles down and things really clear up I think I am going to be pleased. I just HOPE I haven't stressed the corals and the fish... some of the corals and anemones look funny ... I sure hope they all will be OK.
