Jebao DCP return pump?

For reference, I use a Jebao DCT-15,000 on my 300DD. It has been running for 2 years though I did have one small issue... the pump stopped about a year ago but once I gave it a clean and vinegar soak it was fine. I've tried to give it a scrub every 4-5 months otherwise. It's about that time again...

Whatever you get, it's a good idea to get a backup as well. Since these are popularly priced, it becomes more feasible to do that.

edit: Wow, the DCP version is $100 more than the DCT version. Not sure how it could really be worth that much extra. If it's because it's quieter, then I'll keep the DCT which is very quiet already.

In general you want 3-5x display tank size in GPH after head losses..
So try to calculate your head loss (basically vertical height from pumping place to the highest point its being pumped to plus a bit of fudge factor to account for elbows/restriction) then look at the flow chart for the pump and find the one that works..
Being that these are controllable I actually recommend shooting for one that can do twice the needed flow as you can then run it at 50% which will typically extend its life.

thanks, i knew most of that stuff.. i was more meaning. all the model letter they have now... whats the newest to oldest, and whats the difference between them.

Does anyone have the flow charts for the 15000-20000 Jebao DCP pumps. I'm setting up a 180 gallon, with basement sump, and want at last 4-5x turnover.

Head height will be around 9' or so.

I have a question... What kind of glue is everyone using to hard plumb these into PVC? Just regular PVC glue? Or a transition cement? I'm wondering if these fittings on the pump side are ABS.

And... How annoying is it that the DCP 10000 only comes with 1.25" plumbing at the largest..... It would be 100% better at 1.5".

I just use regular PVC glue..
Transition would be fine too if you have it but likely not needed at all..

The controller of my DCP 10000 just locked up at 100%. It won't do feed mode and can't be dialed down. I already tried holding the up/+ or down/- button until the display blinks twice, but it's still locked.
Has anyone an idea how to fix this?

Well, gave it another try and found that they must have changed something since putting out the manual.
Now it is the pause (feed) button: holding it until the display blinks twice locks the controller, holding it until it blinks three times unlocks it.

What one would you recommend for a 29g. I was thinking the DCP-3500 or the DCP-5000. Will abe about 4ft to the top of the tank with 2 or 3 elbows.

since they are adjustable using the controller, i'd go with the biggest that will comfortably fit your plumbing and sump......then turn it down
