Jebao WP25 Information

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Would you place them in the top corner or closer to the middle?

I would play with them in your system and try to avoid the dead spots. I pointed having them on the opposite corners because they are capable of putting a nice flow for the tank size you have planned for.

I must say i was skeptical when these pumps came out, and the whole quality/price of the product. I got myself this pump and simply love it.
Had i tried it earlier, would not have spent on my MP's, which although had good customer service, had also lots of problems.

I have read these pumps have just as many issues as vortechs or any other pumps, but what you get for the price with this product is yet unmatched by any other pump until this day. My supplier has his wps for almost a year and it runs like the new ones i bought recently.

I am planning on replacing a closed loop system with either the WP-40's or 60's. I have a 265 mixed reef. What size and how many would the recommendation be for this type of tank

Some of this would depend on tank length. I have a 8' 300. I have 3 wp40 and a wp 60 in it and think it is about right.I am planning 2- 60 and 2-40 . If you have a longer tank , I would go with at least 1 40 and 1 60 and go from there. The cost difference is not an issue and the size isn't much different either.

I have just read on Manhattan Reefs that Jebao is doing some work on the circuitry in these units. Has anyone heard about this?

All I've heard was another controlables upgrade. Fish-Street is hinting about a controller upgrade based on the poll they have on their site.

This is the what Fish-Street is hinting about.

Hey guys. Just got my 25s and man these things are too powerful. Where is everyone getting the adjustable voltage plugs these days? I looked through this thread but it is just too long. Thanks in advance.

This is the one that everyone was using off of one of the auction sites.

DC 5V-24V 4A 48W LED Light Dimmer Adjustable Bright Controller

Even thought there is no proof that controlling the input voltage to the controller will harm the pump or controller the best way to control the pump is thru the output voltage to the pump and the only way I have seen that done is with a third party controller like an Apex or Reef Angel.

Well I just got my 2 WP25's in yesterday and installed them in my 120g that use to have 2 MP40's. I must say the WP25 moves a lot of water. With both set at 50% ELSE (if its adjustable?) they destroyed my shallow SB and filled my nice clean sump full of diatom. They are a powerful little pump thats for sure. They have a lot more focused stream of water more like the tunze. Even with the direct flow though, their is a great random movement throughout the DT. I instantly noticed a major improvement in my surface water disturbance with them pointed ever so slightly up yet they still destroyed my SB.

I my self find that 2 WP25s are plenty for a minimalist 120g SPS reef. I like the small foot print of the WP25. I dont think i would have liked the WP40 because of its size.

Lets just see how long they last :) So far im more then pleased.

Glad you like. them.
My 40 has been running since April (9 months) and my 25 since June (7 months).

Not to bad for a "cheap piece of junk".
Anything more than a year I feel I'm in the black on these pumps.

Is the ELES mode adjustable with the knob or is the knob non functional in the ELES mode? I know the knob controls the wave time but i cant remember if it controls the max intensity of the ELES mode or not. Naturally i cant seam to find the info via searching the net.

The know controls the frequency of the have, not the intensity. It has been do long since I used thr stock controller I can't remember if it has any effect on it, but I think it does.

Or even simpler, couldnt you just change the wall plugin to a wall wort or something to reduce the power its receiving from the outlet?
