Jebao WP25 Information

wonder if what this guy done would also work for the ELSE mode?

that's me. and yes it does work on else mode.

I have no need for these pumps but I had to get a few just to play with them and develop an opinion of my own. And from what I see, they are great pumps for the price. The only underlying question is... How long will they last in a tank? If they can provide 5+ years of reliability and the price stays the same then they're going to be in everyones tanks. They are going to force other brands to change their marketing strategy in order to compete.

I only have seen one for sale and it was not available for the US.
I can't remember who had it.
I didn't really make note of it because it wasn't available for the US.

I just ordered the WP25 from reef radiance for $69 shipped...this is to replace a vortech mp10 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

does anyone have information about the mark2?? or if it will ever be available for us purchase?? I'm surprised that jebao has not mentioned anything about them yet...

I was about to purchase to 25s for my 120 gallon it's 48 long and 31 tall should I be looking at 40s instead?

2 25's is plenty but JMO. i just put 2 in my 4' 120g and i have them in ELSE / W2 S2 and still keep kicking up sand. i have great movement throughout the tank.

Anyone had problems with their pumps losing power ? I have 2 wp25 since June and the first time I cleaned them in vinegar and it helped but since then even on 100% power I don't feel like there is a ton of movement . I contacted fish street and they said they would send me a new powerhead if I pay shipping (not controller) This seems like it should fix it....any thoughts?

I also noticed some power loss and when I checked I saw that the magnet of the impeller part was quite full with tiny abraded magnetic particles. I removed them using duct tape (the particles stick to it and you can get them off the magnet that way - some people also use soft wax to get stuff off of magnets) and feel like it is running a lot better now.

I ordered two 25s for 36 inch long tank. Even with an led dimmer to dial them back I've found I can only run one of these or I get way too much movement. Is anyone actually running two in a tank this size? If so, what settings? I'm running one one else mode dialed way back on the dimmer.

My tank is 36"x24"x18", I have one WP25 placed on the back wall, one inch from side wall, about 1/3 of the way down, the head is pointed slightly down, in W2-S3 mode dialed all the way down (no dimmer). This is the only placement/mode that does not kick up sand but will still give me movement on the surface.

I did order a WP10 to see if the magnets will hold on my glass and how it performs. Thinking I'll order another WP10 for the other side if it's holds and I like how it performs.
