:(

I hate mess!!!!!!!!! Even more, I hate water on the floor :(

Sorry to hear about the flooding guys!!!! I hope that nothing is permanently damaged and the wives were sympathetic! :)

Let's just call it an unintentional water change!:D

On another side note from yesterday, I was pulling the Lumenarc reflectors off of the frag setup to sell them, and grabbing the extra bulbs that I was going to sell to get everything together and cleaned up. As there is so much other cr@p in the garage, the only place to work on them was my wifes parking spot in the garage. As Sam was over picking up some rock, my wife came home. Well, apparently she didn't notice 3 full size reflectors, 2 bulbs, and about 50' of cord laying on the garage floor, and proceeded to pull into the garage! I came out as the bulbs exploded. Luckily the noise stopped her there and she didn't keep pulling in to crush the reflectors.
As many of you that are married, you may know what happened next. Yep, she proceeded to yell at me for putting them in the way. Never mind the fact that one should actually look at where your going while driving a 6000lb vehicle. But, what place does logic have in an arguement!

Your experience reminds me of one a friend's coworker had.

He had parts from a car he was restoring laid out on the garage floor with a fresh coat of spray paint. He left the spray can with the parts, ready for the next coat. His wife pulled into the garage, crushing the newly restored car parts. Not only that but the top got broken off the spray can, causing it to shoot around the garage like a rocket as it sprayed everything with black spray paint, ricocheting off the car (denting it), and smashing the windshield out on the car.

Needless to say he got a stern talking to from his wife.

 Yep, That about sums it up. I just looked at her and asked " You're gonna sit there and yell at me?" And when her reply was the definite affirmative, I just threw up my hands and went back to what I was doing. She did get the hint.....eventually.

Thank you for the chuckle. I needed a little cheering up as I prepare for 4 hours of solid meetings this afternoon.

Me too! My wife usually figures out that I'm not to be tested when I've gotten quiet. That's usually a good warning sign to back off or get blasted.

Jeremy, how tall is your canopy and how far above the reflectors are the VHO's mounted? I am trying to fit 3 of the Elites with T5's on a 125g with a mission series canopy. These Elite Pendants are kick @$$!!!

I'll have to measure for sure when I get home, but off of the top of my head, I've got 12" from the top of the tank to the underside of the canopy. The reflectors hang down 5", and the VHO's are about 2" lower than the MH reflectors(closer to the tank). I used 2"x2" stock to mount the endcaps lower than the MH reflectors. These reflectors are awesome!!!

Well, after the flood of the main tank on Thursday, I got to do it all over again with a flood of the garage tanks on Friday.
The short version:
I had been pulling corals out of the 125g, dipping them and moving them over to the main tank Thursday evening. In so doing, I had pushed the locline returns down and out of the way and left them that way overnight. Figured it didn't really matter as there were no corals left in the tank, but I did leave the tank running attached to the rest of that system. Everything was fine when I fed the dogs the next morning. As I recently moved out of my office, I had all of my office furniture and files in the garage. I was working Friday morning, and needed to go and get a file out of the garage around 11am. When I stepped into the garage, the floor was completely soaked! As it happens, something tripped the GFCI, and as my returns were so low in the tank, I managed to drain about 50g from the 125 into the sump, which could only handle about 20 of the 50g.
The real problem was that now my credenza, chairs, boxes, and too many other things to list were sitting in the water. I opened the door, called to the wife "Uh, dear. I think I need your help."
3 hours of mopping, moving, reboxing, etc, etc. and things were finally clear of the water, though the garage was a complete mess. My wife just looked at me and says "lets just get the corals moved out of these tanks and not be bothered by this system anymore." OK, another day of work down the drain, but, the corals are all now in there new home.
I can honestly say that I had NO IDEA just how many corals I actually had.:eek1: I still have quite a few just sitting on an eggcrate rack that is laid across a couple of the rocks awaiting me to find a bit more time to glue them down. It is actually starting to resemble an actual reef tank finally. No pics yet, as I just haven't had the time, and would prefer to wait to take a few pics until things are all in place. Hopefully by the weekend I'll get that taken care of.

On another note, the driver for my wavebox was definitely a casualty of the previous flood. I got a nice light show from the small fire within the box when I very briefly plugged it back in. Roger Vitko and Rodney took care of me though, not free, but a nice discount despite my stupidity, and a new driver is on it's way.

Jeremy,

If you have too many corals, I know of someone that would be more than happy to just take the extras off your hands...

;)

 Yeah, I need to let things color back up a bit and see if I want to squeeze them all in, or thin the ranks.
