my whole idea about my display and fish list, is that if I am going to maintain a high end display and corals, I want my fish to be high end and uncommon, I guess I just don't want to be like everyone else.
heck my final fish in my tank is a hybrid angel that I have placed an order on, assuming that one is caught and not slated to go to HK, this will be the very 1st ever to come in the USA.
achilles is one of those what a wholesaler would call "bread and butter", where as the YBT is definitely NOT in that category. its not common, not available every day or month, its seasonal and they come out of Africa.
I guess if you were to keep an Achilles alive, then by all means if that's your definition of RARE then so be it. "RARE" can be defined in many ways, but to me rare is something that is UNCOMMON in the trade.

I've been watching the fish for a while. The PT did something I haven't seen in a few days.... went to the other side of the tank! Just for a sec though.... The sohal usually doesn't allow such rebellion!!

I hear yeah and understood what you meant. I think i just didnt explain myself very well

I in no way would consider a YBT "High End". Also Rare in my opinion does not automatically mean "Nice".

Terry, no. I don't think the sohal will be a wise longterm goal as of now. The two fish are fine in there now. Sure the sohal makes the PT stay on one side of the tank, but its more of a show of speed and size. There isn't/hasn't been much damgae to either fish at all, and both appear to be w/out stress. They both have healthy colors and consistent eating with no cuts on their bodies. But I can see how the sohal acts, and its only gonna get worse I fear. Its only going to grow, and get more territorial. I don't know how long it will take, but my concern is how quickly it got to the point its at now. It really wasn't dominant at all until that first time I pulled the rock out. Now its like a totally different fish.

Get yourself an RK2 or AC Jr. You want a controller that reads .00 The milwaukee which is the cheapest only reads .0
The pinpoint costs almost as much as a AC Jr, but does read .00
Plus either of the two will do other things as well.

This is the regulator I'm getting. It's been used by other RC members for awhile and is the only one that comes with a three year warranty. The others only have a six month warranty.

I really don't want to buy a controller as my temp and powerheads are taken care of. Prolly wind up with the pinpoint, as there is one FS locally I think....

No matter what you get Jim, make sure it has a fine tuning needle valve that will only make it easier to control your co2. Why do you need a PH conrtoller? Just one more thing to clean and calibrate.

BTW, the best gadget I've ever bought was an AC Jr
