The demand has gone up, and requests for the small external have really seem to come around since the release of the other externals. Victor has stated that Anton has agreed to build the small :D. I'm sure they'll be some in this summer. Prolly on the July shipment, but I don't know for sure.

I'd contact Victor. He's really cool to talk to. Very upfront and honest.

Yeah, if Jeremy's BK was an external, I would have bought it. IMO they're just too expensive to buy them new. Very nice, but very expensive. Also its pretty much impossible to find a used ext BK.
OK, so since all you skimmer heads are in this thread I thought I'd post this here...
Are externals more efficient than internals? Jim, whats the reasoning you would've bought the EXT, but didn't buy the INT?

TIA, and keep up the great work!!!

Skimmer-freaks-R-Us :p

Really, its all what fits your system or goals. I like externals because I prefer the room in my sump, the longer contact time and most of all the drain feed capability.

I'm pretty specific (picky) on what I want. My system had already been designed around running an external model, so I had my sights on it.

I don't think that the RC design improves the skimmer too much, but it just allows for more flexibility in tuning (air hose, feed and exhaust can all be used to control the skimmer), they can be run insump or externally and the drain feed is key.

How much better? I have no idea :) I don't really think about it like that. I just wanted it because it works for me and my goals :)

Jim

Yeah, John actually officially became an ATB dealer yesterday :celeb1:

The skimmers looking Great Jim. Keep this thread posted with lots of feedback on the ext ATB.

Newest Dealer? Jon=hahnmeister? or other?

Hey Jr :)

More pics this weekend (or maybe later this week).

John is the owner of Your Reef (an RC sponsor and LFS here in NorCal). Check them out. They are a great vendor :)

I am still waiting to get "that" PM from Victor. I was really surprised that he has never tried me with the crowd I hang out with. ;)

With a tank like yours, me too :eek2: It would be like a feather in his cap to ge an ATB in the Poletti home :D

Are you reading this Victor?? :p

Thanks for the compliment Jim.

Especially when I have been debating back and forth for the last few months.
