Johnikes 240 move

Just took the tank from the wall under the stairs, and made a room divider out of it. New steel stand, and big sump. Still have to put my smaller corals in, and arrange the larger colonies. My SPS stuff browned up a bit, but will be fine. Most of this was done last Monday night by generator power in a horrible thunderstorm!
Also, after over a decade, I'm bare bottomed for the first time.
;)

The smaller ones here still have to go in, they're living in the Biocube 29 for a few days.

nina approves. glad you finally got this done and now you can sit back and enjoy your tank!

Woohooo!! Finally a thread in RD on this beast. Keep it up, John.

So you now prefer bare bottom over gray saggies? Whatever floats your boat

The tank looks good. Why did you decide to go bare bottom?

Just something different after all these years. I still have the sand in a Brute container if I change my mind. If I do, it won't be six inches, maybe just a couple/few.
And thank you.

Bare bottom is much easier maintenance, that's for sure. You can turn the flow as high as you want too, which is nice.

I'm kinda digging it, been a sand guy forever.
And with the ten closed loop outlets pointed strategically, it's been very clean so far.
The Gobies aren't even that ticked off.

Thanks again.
I'm amazed how great everything looks like after what it all went through.
I lost my Firefish and 2 of my four Yellowtail Damsels that I've had forever, but found my Neon Goby in the sump!

I don't think I'm gonna want to look at a lot of ya'lls bare bottoms but John make sure you get a good pic of the finally
