Jumper!

Man it scared me so badly! I got up from my couch and walked by my tank and must of startled my picasso because it launched itself about, no lie, 2 feet in the air out of the tank and onto the ground right in front of me. I scooped it up and put it back in the tank where it acted confused and rightfully so since it rocketed itself out of the tank like that....Anyone else have problems with clownfish jumping?!?

when I got out a sick Anem. my clwonfish jump right on it! it was not much then 30 cm high. but it was show my how the care about there Anem.

sorry about mistakes of gremmer or soo, my English is not so well.

Well if he wanted a hug he could of just said so! I'm hoping to get a BTA in the next week or so and hopefully he'll wanna cuddle with it instead of me!

Clownfish can jump and since he's tank raised may not recognize the bta right away, hopefully he will, good luck.
You should look into that clear netting for cover to make sure he doesn't try flying again.

My male clownfish not only nipped my hands when I moved rocks around, but he once also jumped about 5 inches vertically to slap my nose with his tail as I tried to get my rock where I wanted it.

Those crazy fish...i really hope they take to the bta otherwise i won't keep it...i really don't want to put one in because of the rist of it stinging all the corals i am planning on keeping but i'll have frogspawn and others too so maybe they'll like that

i never had clowns jumping but i had a bunch of wrasses jump. i made a clear screening on the top of my tank so they cant jump!

I think its a possibility that your fish carried a parasite or a disease of some sort.Ive never had cownfish just jump with out no reason.He/she may have been spooked too.

Latz are known for jumping. I've had a percula jump twice, one a w/c perc about 2 months after getting her, the 2nd was one of my baby percs about 2", nice mis bar and getting real blk, jumped. I have tops for all my tanks and it there's a fish in one it gets covered now.

I don't think anything was wrong with him the time i walked by he was deff. spooked but this time it happened in the middle of the night sometime....Nothing really sticks out that was wrong with him to me...when i bought him he was one of the more saturated colorwise and didn't have any nicks on his fins and none of them had ich so i donno....suprised me too that a clownfish would jump because i've had 4 over the years and never had a problem

I've had my large female jump out of her breeding tank located 6 ft off the ground on to ceramic tile (with a pretty large thud) I just scooped her up and put her back in. It happened just as I got done making the top for the tank, weird!!!!!
