Just a few pictures...

Took some pictures after I got rid of some frags that were cluttering up my sand. Unfortunately, my lights cut out so I only got to snap a few. I finally have room for my black and white striped squamosa. If you look at his shell, you can see the turbo snail there. He is probably around a foot long easily. He has grown insane!

Yes. It's a mixture of silica and southdown. I'd say 90 percent silica and then I added some with Southdown. I like the silica better though.

I don't really do much. I have an ASM skimmer G3 and I export nutrients through macro algae. I'm overdue for a waterchange. It's been a bit over 2 months due to my busy schedule. I'll be doing a 50 gallon probably in a week or so to make up for it.

Other then that, I don't do much honestly. The back half of my reef is somewhat a DSB but not very much. I have around 20 fish and I feed 3 times a day which I think helps with the colors and the quick growth I've been experiencing.

i went to mostly pellets and flakes ocean nutrition and the tangs get nori.
i use the euroreef 6-3 modded with the recir.
and use carbon 24/7 along with oceans blend phohpate remover.

just recently purchased 9 frags( 2 months ago) of sps and about 6 of them are doing good . the other three has a little brown algae on it.
change 10 percent weekly and test with salifert.

was curious what your doing differently LOL :)

Sorry didnt mean to hijack the thread. but when you put pics like that i just haveta ask :D

Ask away. That's fine with me. I forgot, I also have a wall of Xenia that equates to about 3 to 4 square feet. I have it only on the glass. There is rumor that Xenia is a very good nutrient exporter.

Absolutely gorgeous tank. I'd love to see more pictures.

Have you had that small teardrop long? SITC had a very similar one in last time I was there, I was drooling over it...

Jason,
Looks so great!!! it was last year that I saw your tk,men looks awesome hope you don't have any issue when the times comes to move it to the other house.BTW the new house is in Leesburg?

The other one we bought is just a house we are flipping so no moving here. I will be moving it in about a year as I'll start construction on 1100 sq ft addition of another attached garage. Then I'll enclose my current one and it's going to be a bar room.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Just a note...
As good as the pictures look here, I want to point out that they don't do justice to his tank. It is stunning!

rdmpe,

I've had the teardrop for a couple months. The squamosa I got from Marcye and many other pieces. I think I payed several of her car payments back then :). There used to be a guy in Ocala who sold on ebay. I picked up a deresa for 30 bucks and that teardrop for 35 on ebay. I would meet him at I75 and pick up the goods. Too bad he moved.

Thanks for the comments. I'll get more pictures tommorrow hopefully. I was working again on that house and tiled the whole bathroom floor. This is tough work!

So far doing great. The purple pillow is purpling up nicely. The ORA chips is still partially browned out. My other frag that I currently had is doing very well. I moved it to a more flow location so hopefully it will do a bit better. The other two are doing great. Not much growth on the oregon tort but I know it's a pretty slow grower.

You missing the sps yet Jon?
