Just be glad you don't live in Canada.

My friend and I drove up to Montreal Canada last weekend to take a vacation and to visit his fam up here (free place to stay rules). We checked out a few of the local pet shops here and wow...some of their pricing is crazy. Currently the exchange rate is $1.00 us= $1.10ca. The selection is nothing exciting, corals were very limited as well. I don't remember exact prices but I saw a small (1.5") Coral Beauty selling for $40 bucks. I can't recall the corals I saw but I know most of them were about double the price as back home. Bearded Dragons were at the least $65(for regular babies), sandfire babies were around $100-$120. Glad I don't live here...even gas is 98 cents per litre right now (about $4/gal) and the Toureg eats 70 litres of petrol a fill-up. :(

From what I understand even Canadian Whiskey is more expensive up there than here. It's supposedly taxed very heavily up there.

Yeah, the tax is high up here. The prices are high and the tax makes it even worse. A 12 case of Heine cans was 21.99 and after tax I paid just under $28. Boo
