Just ordered my RKE w/net

I did not realize Christmas was this Friday...

When it comes in, bring it by my place and I'll help you break it in on my system ;)

Yes very true! I did break down and buy the BRS ORP prove. I figured what the heck since I had already gone this far.

At least I can plan how and what to program, and determine how many timers, ect. That way when it gets in I can get busy. I also started reading the manual today (RTFM). By the time it gets here I will be ahead of the game.

RTFM... HA! Nice.

I suggest browsing the Digital Aquatics forum, too.

I think that would be RTFF. :D

Andy... DA just announced a couple more modules for the RKE and RKL. Go check them out, bro. :)

What's killing me, though, is that there is even more information that will be available in a few months about some of them! They have even more up their sleeve. I love it! :D

Ok,

I just got the email confirmation from UPS that they delivered the unit. Sadly I am at work and won't be home until around 8pm, but it is here. Yay!!

Quick Update.

The unit is up and running. A little drilling, a few screws and walla!!

So far the experience has been good!

The PH probe was a pain at first to get calibrated, but I eventually figured out how to get it to calibrate and thus far readings are good. Temp was great and easy.

Net module setup was easy.

I have not set up the PC-4's yet (they are connected but nothing plugged into them) as I am awaiting my replacement fixture from Coralife today and want to impact the critters as little as possible, so will move to the PC4's then.

I am also going to utilize stich1 and the SL1 for my auto topoff. It means I connect the float switches to the SL1, and then the pump to a PC4 channel. I can then move my relay setup upstairs to my frag tank :-)

Nice, man. :)

I'm planning on using one of the switch inputs for my ATO and one on my skimmer so it will shut down if it overflows. Its not likely, but for $6 its cheap insurance! I may also put a switch on my wastecollector so it doesn't overflow. Again, cheap insurance. :)

I have it up and running now, with temp, PH, ORP, and my lights. So far so good. I am on the lookout for a bug in their software that can cause a power reset (bad thing), but so far so good.

I also have the info reporting into reefnook as well.

If anyone is interested in seeing what the net interface looks like, shoot me a PM.

OK. Dumb user question. When I try to follow the links you are posting, I get the login page. When I login then, it just shows my pathetic entry. Am I missing something? Do I need to search for yours?
