Just Received my Tunze Stream TS25 Kit

How sensitive is the photocell? Will it detect 'night mode' if my moon lights are still on or does it have to be 'lights out' total darkness even the room lights off for it to detect it.

mine on my wave box detects 20watts of light 3 feet away from it. Fwiw, I unplugged my photocell as there is no evidence that reef waters are calmer at night.

Um, I guess you have a point there. I was thinking by using the photo cell night operation would reduce power consuption as well as make it a little calmer for the fish at rest. But you do have a point.
