Thanks. It wasn't easy in the beginning but I'm sure the 260lbs of live rock in the 180 help out a bit. Wrong intro the established fish would go nuts so had to add multiple fish at the same time to divert some of the aggression. The last juv Goldflake and small Venustus were not attacked when added. I usually put new additions in a container for 3-5 days to acclimate before being release and this is important to ensure no aggression while they were in the container. There's enough going on in the tank to keep them busy and I feed enough to keep them full. The price is a lot of WC and to over skim.
So you put the new fish in a container and float it in the tank for a few days, isn't that stressful for the new fish? Stuck inside a small container while all the current fish in the tank are swimming around it?
How big the container? What kind of container? I assume that you put a bunch of holes on the container so water passes thru, right?
Trying to learn since I'm worried about introducing my pair of Blueline into my DT where a pair of Crosshatch Triggers are waiting!!
Also, do you think it's wise for me to later add a Scribbled Angel with those Blueline pair since they are from the same genus?
My stocking list is as follow, introducing them in this order:
1-pair of 7" Crosshatch triggers
2-pair of 4" Blueline angelfish
3-a 6-7" Harlequin Tusk
4-a 6-8" Scribbled angelfish
5-a 4-5" Yellow tang
If not a Tusk then a Banana wrasse but he will go in last instead.
What do you think?
Thanks for your help.
