I would check whether the JBJ has a time limit of some sort. If so, you might need to buy a faster pump, or switch the ATO mechanism.

Anyone see a problem pulling water from the sump with a dosing pump through a Kalk stirrer back to the sump controlled by the PH probe on an Apex? I know I can pull from the ATO tank but want individual control of PH and evaporation.

i am not sure if the saltwater will do the same in the stirrer to the kalk as the freshwater does, if i am not mistaken it must be fw r/o.

Kalk won't dissolve properly in saltwater. It needs to be added to fresh water. Kalk will cause the magnesium in saltwater to precipitate.

I use a Tunze osomolator to ato my tank with kalk water. I have added between 1.5-2 TbsP of kalk to 1gal. of RODI. It has maintained my alk and calcium very stable almost never deviates. My calcium once did get to 500 but the corals didn't mind. I did a big water change and all was within parameters.

Magnesium does not keeP up with only saturated kalk water via ato in my tank. So I have to dose the brs 2 part magnesium to keep up.
