Hey everyone,
It's been awhile since I've posted in here and I thought I'd share my latest acquisition. Some of you may have been following Karen's blog about her recent success with captive breeding Bandits that were collected by Rufus.
Well, today I was fortunate enough to receive two of her babies. I know this first clutch was pretty small and even less reached this far so I really do consider myself fortunate. I saw them back in August when I visited Rufus and Karen and they hadn't even really dropped yet and were acting more like plankton than fish so they've come pretty far in the last month or so.
To say these guys are 3/4" is being generous, but I saw them both eating so that makes me a lot less nervous. Anyway, here's a pic of video of them. If you look closely they are eating food that floats by.

My plan is to QT them for the next two weeks and then hopefully I can keep them in my reef tank with the GP's. I had a trio of WC Bandit's in my reef tank before but they liked to 'mouth' my acros a lot. They didn't actually kill the corals, but I had no polyp extension during the day. My hope is that these CB Bandits haven't developed a taste for corals and haven't learned to 'mouth' them.
Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to update this thread for years to come
