Karen and Rufus' Captive Bred Baby Bandits

Thanks guys. These little gals' parents are in the same tank as the mama and papa GP's. So I think Karen tries to collect the eggs during the specific moon phase. I guess this little clutch was the first time they've made it this far.

I'm sure she'll update her website with each success. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed with Faith and Fabio.

Damn. These little gals are so cute. Fingers crossed here as well.

I almost forgot about Faith and Fabio... I guess Karen is still working the kinks out with the Interruptus? Then again it's hard to be great at everything you try and do:dance:

Love the baby bandits Wayne, I hope you have a bonded pair for many years to come

Do you have a narcosis? If not, maybe that should be your next beautiful angel

What's their behavior like throughout the day? Do they act like a bonded/bonding pair, ignore or avoid each other in the tank?

Actually they do act like they're a bonded pair. Karen mentioned to me she was happy they were being sold as a pair because they paired up very early.

Great video! Although, sort of messed up subjecting them to that crap Weezer song.....

Lol, it was what was playing on the radio but you are right. I should be more responsible to what I let my babies listen to!

No Narc but I'd love to have an opportunity to own one. I heard they're very fragile angels though, like peppermints and multibars. And thank you!

Yeah, I agree but their namesake is pretty bad a$$! Just the privilege of owning a fish collected at insane depths...

Couldn't agree more, and I would gladly take one... After awhile it becomes the search for the unobtainable/hard to get because you already have one or two ( in your case 3) of everything that 5 years ago was only part of our dreams

Huge congrats on obtaining these beautiful babies! It's amazing that Karen has suceeded in breeding these bandits :). I received a Wc juvi caught by Rufus only several months ago and he's growing like a pig. I sincerely hope your little bandits do well and please keep us posted on their progress.

..... I'm a little scared to write this because I don't want Karen to see and get worried, but they endured pretty warm water temperatures. We just went through a mini-heat wave here in Los Angeles and their water temperature got up to like 82-83 degrees! But they were just fine and kept their ravenous appetites.

This just cracked me up! I thought that only my immediate family knew how worried I get over fish, especially my babies! Glad they endured the heat wave!:fun5: I actually don't really worry at all when the fish go to people like Wayne who provide fantastic care. :)

I have been working on a second Bandit batch and they have just started settling out. Let's see if I can figure out how to post a video here....Well I must be doing something wrong. I'll post a link as soon as I get it on youtube. I'll also update the Faith and Fabio thread. Still no fertile eggs from them but they are doing well.

lol..thank you Karen. But I absolutely know how precious these babies are to you. If I remember the next time I see you, I'll have to tell you about a story that happened at MACNA.

Anyway, here's another update on my pair. As you can see, they're growing quickly :)

Hey Ted,

Sorry I didn't see your previous post. I've been busy with the holidays and all. Anyway, the Bandits are doing quite well, thank you for asking. As you will see, they've grown quite a bit. So much so that know I'm trying to think of a safe way to introduce them into my reef tank. But that'll still be a few months away. Anyway, per your request, here's a couple videos of them:
