If the sand is an issue, lower down and pointed slightly up would probably help. I think its good to keep it low and not build it up to much. Once the corals grown in no one is going to notice the overflows anyways.

You know.. I actually was thinking about puting a little deck/ledge on the left side... but i dont really have a piece of live rock to work with... if i come across something thats defintely what I'll do... I actually dont mind the powerheads being noticeable, but I'll play with them and see if I can put them in a hidden/good position... thanks for the tip
