I would add a rock and a ledge on the far left side to made it more 3D and create another "underpass" for the fish. Also, have you tried putting the powerheads lower down so they are less noticeable? If the sand is an issue, lower down and pointed slightly up would probably help. I think its good to keep it low and not build it up to much. Once the corals grown in no one is going to notice the overflows anyways.

Nice though, good start.

You know.. I actually was thinking about puting a little deck/ledge on the left side... but i dont really have a piece of live rock to work with... if i come across something thats defintely what I'll do... I actually dont mind the powerheads being noticeable, but I'll play with them and see if I can put them in a hidden/good position... thanks for the tip

I'm so happy today... my carpet is looking great and my small male Gold Stripe Maroon clown is all over it... but the clown is acting a little weird... I'm not so experienced in this subject, but i find it strange that the little clown is sort of jamming his head into the mouth of the carpet... and also sucking on it's tentacles... strange... anyone know anything about this?

So I bought some (alot) of frags from PL-Reef Last night... Was a long night tool. Here are the pictures of them at their new home

Hmm whats inside the big nasty cooler?

bad news ... anemone died :(... i didnt do anything wrong i just think that the GSM clowns were WAY too aggressive with it...

anyways.. here are some pictures....

Thought this was a pretty cool picture.. showing off my photography skill lmao jk... (ps the aptasia there is gone thanks to my worthy peppermint shrimp)

CIMG0294_580x435.jpg

thinking about getting 5 more chromis.. i started out with five and now i have 2... 2 of them died within a week of getting them so shipping must have been rough on them... and the third one was getting real weak for some reason.. everyone else is perfectly fine though... they need to "go back to school"

really nice tank. well start. id suggest more rock it doesnt look too natural. how much did you pay for that frag pack?? also that cant be your quarantine anymore....as for damsels im not a fan at all...id suggest a niger trigger, or blue hippo, naso tang, powder blue, etc..

yeah the damsel was kind of grandfathered into the tank, it was my brothers from a while ago.
I have a bunch of live rock taht has been dried up and i was thinking about adding more to the middle towards the right overflow where it sort of dips down... Im not too crazy about the little cave sort of thing i built... I want to try to make a big shelf/ledge stick out from somewhere but its not as easy as it sounds... the rock work i just did took about 6 hrs+

If I were to do more rock work it wouldnt be that long though because i'd just be keeping everythign the same except for that cave.

Oh and im thinking about a powder blue tang... they're one of my favorites.

as for the frag pack i paid 500$ to a local club member... what do you think?

dang! $500? thats alot of loot but i cant really see what corals you have. hey, what fixture do you have?

yeah im going to get some close ups on the frags when i get my new camera so i'll let you know... there are over 50 or 60 frags so when you think about it, it was less than 10$ a frag... which is really cheap...

The fixture i have over my 210 is a 72" constellation 14 bulb T-5 fixture... VERY nice.. unfortanately one of the bulbs/end caps got messed up so I'm going to try and fix that today.
