Kdoc's 210g Reef Tank

Geeeezzzzz, you really scored with the two boxes, nice work :D!

Frags look good, if I lived in the states I'd buy some of that GSP

Lol. I'll just ship you some. It'll only cost what.. $550 overnight lol.

Yeah I'm mainly giving the small ones away to those who buy other frags from me. I'm gonna end up trying to sell that BIG one on the right.

Hahah, you pay shipping and i'm in :p

Looks good. Has everything stayed on the plugs? I fragged some xenia the other day, and this morning most of them had come out from under the rubber bands :/ I left them in too high of a flow. oops

Just bought this Mini Zoa Colony off a guy on RC
They're Eagle Eyes, but this morph is usually called Sunflower Zoas

Ok... I've made a decision. I'm going to make a Zoanthid "Garden" in my tank. Its going to be in the center of the tank starting from my sandbed, working its way up to my Radioactive Dragon Eye colony. What do you guys think?

I'm gonna have the center of the tank be a zoa garden, and the left side just a bunch of softies. I might stick a big toadstool on top of the zoa garden, near where my crappy RPE colony is right now.

I just noticed that I used a rock with RPE to hold another rock up way at the bottom. The polyps on that rock are SOO MUCH prettier and brighter than the other ones. I'm gonna let them grow out a bit and sell some more.

Woot 3000 posts :)

Yah... Same. Unfortunately I found out that I have some flatworms on my RPE/Brown Paly Colony. The GOOD thing is that its isolated to that one colony. I am trying to find out what I should treat it with. I'm obviously going to be taking it out, but am I dipping it or am I treating the tank its in with Flatworm Exit

I commented on your thread last night Owned

That sucks about the flatworms, but glad to hear they're isolated :)
I'd go Flatworm Exit, I've heard that it works quite well as long as it's in its own tank :)

Thanks for the comment, I just replied, haven't been able to check my email in about 2 days, i had 25 when I logged on about 10 mins ago, lol...
You should definitely check my thread, just posted something really cool :)

will do :)

I just found out that getting rid of these flatworms (if necessary) is easier than I thought, so im very happy. People also are talking about them not being the "bad kinds" so thats good to hear.

I may just Freshwater dip that entire one rock.

He I just read throught your whole thread Yor tank is doing really well, I love the aqua scaping That's the beauty of living in the states You can get frags whenever and wereever you want. Keep up the good work my friend.

Thanks Caribngg. Yeah, unfortunately I live in what seems like the most expensive state (in relevance to LFS prices). I remember one time a local fish store was charging $400 for ONE Picasso clown. I saw a pair online for $150 o.O.

I try my best to buy from local reefers rather then online and from LFS, but ever so often I'll go to the LFS just to grab something nice and healthy.

Would you say that you like the aquascaping how it is today or from the way beginning when I had all the rock stacked up?
I'm kind of on the fence, but I do like how there is more area for the fish to swim, and I like how there is more sand visible ( I just like nice clean sand idk lol)

Kdo I like that it looks like the fringe of a reef wall that comes down and meets the sand, you find that down here were a cliff face meets the water.
However, i also like the idea of caves and areas were the fish can swim thru and for circulation so I think a happy medium would be ideal.
