To all the Keith Grandt tank owners or had one in the past, what strainer mod did you do for the Keith Grandt overflow? Been searching online and none of the pics or literature shows what they did.

Thanks for your input in advance [emoji1]

Not Keith but for my old tank, same style, I used acrylic with the table saw to make teeth. You could just make it hang on the sides.

Thanks Anthony, if you have an older pic of your older overflow, that would be great. It'll give me something to reference too.

Thanks again!

I will look when I get home, but i used the drain to push against the acrylic to hold it vertical. The acrylic was the same size as the front of the box.

I got 1/4" black acrylic and used a router to make 1.5" verticle "teeth" going all the way across. So same as basic overflow teeth, except mines didn't go all the way through the top, it stopped about 1/4" from the top. Was just gonna make it stand from behind and that way I could remove it for cleaning.
I've seen most just use egg crate, it's orobbaly the easiest option to make.

Harder to tell, couldnt find a great pic but basically it was 1/4" smaller than the interior of the box. I held it in place by turing the pvc drains to push against it. I guess you could just use a 2nd piece of acrylic and make a t shape. Hope that helps
