I replaced the ro membrane on my ro/di and I have been running it for 3 days straight and have made maybe 2 gallons. How long does the new membrane take to breakin?

The new membrane shouldn't have to "break in." It should be producing water (the right amount!) right away, and then you just let it run for a while (I run mine for an hour or two right away) to let any chemicals or whatever get out of there before you start using the water for your tank.

I'm not one of the RO/DI experts on here, but I know it should've started producing the right quantity of water right off the bad. I'm sure others can help you get it back up and running correctly.

yes the old membrane was making the right amount of water but it was 4-5 years old so I replaced the ro membrane.

1. What is your water pressure?
2. What is the temperature of that incoming water?
3. Did you replace the sediment filter as well? IF not maybe it's clogged and time to replace.

hmmm....

I would check to make sure that the tubing isn't kinked somewhere then check to see if your flow rerstrictor is clogged.

No kinked tubing, I took out the restrictor from the product line and I gently put a paper clip in the bottom of the hole and pressed up and down on a spring latex like valve. Would that clean it?

If it worked fine as far as amount of water before the membrane change then I would be looking at the membrane. Maybe try reseating it in the housing. Then check the input and output lines to the ro housing for obstructions, especially at the very ends if they have the little inserts in them.

Well i removed the new membrane put in the old membrane and it produced alot of water. I tested the water and found the following parameters.
AMO :0.25
NITRATES : 0
NITRITES : 0.05
