Kessil Club

Hi all i just joined the club a few months ago!! I started with 2 a160ew over one of my nano tanks....... WHY DIDNT I JUST SUCK IT UP AND BUY THESE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Im absolutely in love with them! i just bought 4 a360's for my 125 that I'm currently in the middle of building!

Lol, yup!

On the 125, should have sucked it up even more and picked up 2 AP700s instead!

I'm glad the hear that. Good customer service is very important to me. I am putting it on a 45 gallon cube.

Haha, i have to second that but the 360 is a great light and I'm sure he will ever happy with them.

36"X24" is the intended coverage area for SPS for the AP700. I would got with that mounted about 8-9" from the water and it's going to look amazing!

Not at all, unless you tank is so full of coral that they are shading each other and them selves. The AP700 does a great job at spreading the light and decreasing shadows. Some chose to add T5s, myself will look to add them some day, but they are not required what so ever.

I'm going to be purchasing a reefer 250 this year and I'm really in a dilemma about which lights to get. Mostly going to be running SPS.
The options are:

2x Kessil 160we
2x Kessil 360we
1x NanoBox Quad

Would 2x160 be enough and would 2x360we be overkill? Anyone with a reefer 250 running something similar?
 
In running a reefer 250 with two Kessil a160's on the a series mounts. I'm not coral heavy yet, i am satisfied. If you have the funds go the the 360's, or the ap700!

I haven't been able to update my build thread or YouTube, but it's coming soon!
 
A Reefer 250 is in my plans for a smaller softie/nem tank in the house. My light of choice will be the AP700. I running 1 right now over a 40b n will run 3 over my soon to be ready 190.

I have three Kessil 360s in connected in series to the spectral controller. The third light appears more white then the first two. Has anyone experienced this. I have them connected with new 3.5 mm Griffen audio wires.

Have you tried swapping the cables to see if the problem follows the cable?
