Don't go with my pictures. They aren't close to the same settings. I was just providing what they looked like on the tank. I do have new sq520 apogee light meter. I had to run 360s at 65% to get same as 700 at 35%. The 700s penetrate much further down.Thank you, Thor. What was the intensity on the 360's?
Those pictures look truly night and day. If it wasn't obvious from my first post I really wanted to go with the 360's. But your pictures really have me second guessing.

Am I able to purchase replacement part for the light through kessil? ThanksThey're really pretty easy to repair once you get the correct component to replace.

Definitely the ap700Simply Wow! I was going to call out for some advice from everyone that is running ap700 upgraded from the 360we. But your pictures may have answered my question.
Anyway, I'm setting up a Red Sea reefer 350 and I'm going back and forth between running 2 kessil 360we (eventually 3 if necessary) or 1 ap700. Livestock will be LPS dominant but am eventually opened to more of a mix reef with sps if tank parameters allow.
What do you guys think?

I have a single AP700 on my 425XL (same length) and it's awesome. Coverage is not a problem at all. I only run it at 60% for 4 hours a day, otherwise it ramps to/from 20% over a total of 12 hours -- and that's with the slight diffusion kit on it! The light is insanely powerful. It's perfect for a mixed reef. If you were doing a full SPS tank you'd probably want 2.
15" per 360 is my rule of thumb. Big difference in 360 vs 700 is the PAR at the bottom. That's what I keep hearing. Is it pushing borderline overkill powerful? For the price, I can get 3 360we (used). Would 3 360we's be enough coverage and power?

I don't think it's overkill. I like not having to run the fixture at 100%. Gives me room for change if I need it and is efficient in the meantime! That's what I keep hearing. Changing to 2 kessil a360we over a standard 48x18x21 75 gallon. Will these be good enough for sps?
SPS do just fine under Kessils. Two should be enough depending on how you have your rock laid out and where you position the SPS.
I had a feeling but have seen, as with every other product, people bashing them
