Kessil Club

I'm looking for recommendations for color and intensity for my a360we's over a 90 gallon. The coral colors have been great while running at 40color/45intensity. However, my zoas seem to be stretching for light. How high in intensity can we take these lights in a mixed reef? Your input is greatly appreciated.
I'm running A350s, so they're a little less intense than the newer lights. I have two of them on my 120 running at full strength on both knobs (white/blue, not color/intensity on these lights) along with 4 bulbs of T5 supp. using a cheap SLR fixture. I grow acros on top, montis down to the midlevel, LPS and and softies in the middle and on the sand. I'm sure I could grow SPS lower if I wanted, but I haven't tried.

My Aquaticlife 150w HQI/T5 fixture crapped out on me. I joined the Kessil club with 2 A360WE's and spectral contoller. I will be installing this evening on my 75gallon. I'll be using the gooseneck adapters. I have a large carpent anemone in the sand so I hope I have enough light. Im excited about the upgrade. I wont miss the heat my old fixture gave off. just saying hi

So I've been running my A160we for 2 weeks now in my 10 gallon and I have seen my rocks start to turn very green. My phosphates are zero and I have never had this issue before with my T5 lights. Is any one else dealing with this? My light is 8" above the water and I hit 40% max intensity with 40% color at my peak cycle.

So maybe I will post this here since this is the kessil club and it seems like I'm not getting anywhere on my own thread. See what your guys input is.

So here is my current project I currently am running

here is another Idea I might go with

I want to keep the T5's for the T5 Growth but I love the way the kessil accent my tank not sure if addeding to more 150 and getting rid of 2 more T5 will stunt the T5 Growth and color.

I ran a 160 over my frag tank and had to turn it down to 25% intensity in order to avoid significant algae growth.

Is this a new tank with new rock? Is it algae or the coralline precursor that rocks turn green from? Does it scrub off with a toothbrush?

My tank is about 4 months old and I have not tried to scrub the rocks yet. I was just concerned that it would affect the health of my tank but I haven't noticed any changes in my test results. I wasn't sure if it was due to my new Kessil light. I have also noticed the snail shells have turned green. I have the intensity set at 40% because I notice my corals start to stretch if I turn it down. I currently have a sunrise/sunset mode set and I was even going to up my intensity a little bit due to my mushroom coral stretching at the 40% intensity.

Take a (new) toothbrush and gently scrub at the green. If it's not hairy and doesn't come off, it's coralline precursor and you're fine. :)

Looking for recommendations. Tank is 48w x 18h x 13d with a center brace. I was thinking 3 160we, but want to make sure I will have enough light at the sand bed. I also don't want the lighting to limit what I can keep in the tank. I appreciate any advice.

You might be better off with two Kessil 360WEs. Depending on how your rock structure is set.

Hello! Thanks for starting this thread! Joining the Kessil Club. Have 3 - A360we + spectral controller on a 125 gallon tank. :)
