Pardon for butting in guys,. But I have a quick question, and hoping its not going to be a major problem in my tank.
So the paint on the gooseneck base paint are already stripped up to where the waterline is (submerged part), and now the metal is already exposed. I'm guessing its aluminum?
I've read mixed things about it, but anyone in here have long term experience with their gooseneck base in the water? Any dangers that I need to be aware of?
Thanks,
Jasper

What are the exact dimensions? There are many ways to make 125g
This my new 48x20x20 that I'm having a hard time choosing the lighting. I am a Kessil also, My plans is a mixed reef tank. Choices
1) AP700 only problem is I'd need more then one or have to add T5's
2) 2x 360's but would still have to add more light (4x 48" T5's)
3) 4x 160we's would have to divide tank in 4's, each light would have to cover a 24x15" area.
OR
I can split the 4 160's and add 2x 48" T5's down the middle.
Help me with this please:facepalm::facepalm:
It's a 6 foot tank. 72x18x24 I believe.
Correction Tank is 48x30x20

You will need 2 AP700s.
Would 3 A360s not be sufficient?
You would have to hang the light really high to get the 24x24" coverage you need per pendant, otherwise you will have a lot of dark spots on the edges and in between the lights. I'm doing 3 a360we on a 72", but it's only 18" deep so I can hang them high and still get plenty of light at the bottom. If you're using 360's, not the the 360we's then i'd think you'd want to use 4, or the 2 a700s
Thank you. I should have specified I was planning to use the 360WEs.
If that's the case I might have to reconsider using Hydra 26 HDs instead. Or wait to see if I can catch a break on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
