Yeah,
I can't believe the sea world guys statements. The trainer "may" have made a mistake. But that is besides the point. The managements statements are unbelievable, in trying to "tone it down", and make it smaller than it is. Down right ludicrous to say they will "resume" with using it, especially after it's happened with the same animal numerous times.
Maybe they could keep it somewhere. But I think it should not be used in the shows with trainers actively in the water.
That guy is an idiot. Maybe he wants an eventual law suit when the next incident happens. I don't care if even those trainers have a waver signed off in their contracts. Eventually, a lawyer for someone will find a way to press a case anyhow and they will be lucky to keep the place open at all. It's like a ticking time bomb based on their stupid decisions. "Lets down play it all and ignore the facts and repetitive evidence". Unbelievable....
Like I said, There must be some reason at Marineland in Canada that they don't do the "touch sessions" for people or use trainers in the water any longer with ORCAS. At least they are smart enough there to take the proper precautions.
This sea world guy is a jerk. He needs to get a clue.
Unfortunately just like a circus owner, I'm sure he cares more for his profit than the safety of the people he employs as well as the animals.
