Killing Vermetid Snails help

I have had an outbreak of vermetid snails recently. They have recently been on the base of my frogspawn which I took out today, tried to scrape them off and then dipped them in lugol's. I also picked up a few emerald crabs to try and help but also realize that it is a overfeeding issue as well. Anything else that I may be able to do?

They do not just run their course. They can get to plague proportions if you let them get out of hand. If you feed your tank they will grow fast. They grew in my overflow to such a size that they clogged my intake almost causing an overflow. They also irritated my SPS corals causing damage.

I eventually took every rock out of my tank, chiseled them off, Cleaned out my overflow and sump. I also slowed down on my feeding.I rarely see any in the DT anymore. Whenever you see them kill them.

What is the best way of killing them? Chiseling them off or some other method?

I've had good luck plugging the ends of their tubes with epoxy. Only a little plug stays behind so you don't notice it. But the worms sure do.

If you crush their shell with pliers, will they make a new shell maybe or is that a killing move on them.

How long do you have to let the superglue gel dry before putting rock back in

I have been successful killing these with Aptasia X. You can stick the needle in the tube and inject some of the Aptasia X solution in it.

If you take the rock out, you can put it right back in. The glue will cure underwater. This how most people attach frags to plugs or rockwork. Use the gel kind

Gluing the tube should work. I use bone cutters( frag cutters ) to crush them. If playing with them out of tank they stink when disturbed : once they,re off it helps to drop them in water and bleach before disposing of them
