The hair highlights where I missed focus too though!
Eyeball in #2, pretty much all of #3 is soft. There wasn't much light to work with but I think they turned out interesting none the less.

TS, #4 is my fav. Little kitty revealing the attitude of thousands of years of built in feline predator. I ain't petting that one. ;)

#5 looks a bit too contrasty to me, though maybe that's the kitty's natural coloration?

mpoletti, to me the first shot shows a tremendous amount of feline disdain. "Silly human. If you must...". I like it.

I didn't touch curves or levels with any of these. I edited the white balance, which was way off to start, on all. Instead of the familiar blue everything was orange. Color variation between #5 and #6 are then the result of separate RAW white balance adjustments. I thought more blue looked good with the background and collar.

 Not even yellow (how lots of room incandescent light looks), but orange! RAW rules.

Let 'em play with pipe cleaners--jumbo ones are best. They're safe and don't tear up like little pieces of plastic. Wad them up into a ball and just leave a little stem for a handle and throw them. My cat fetches it and brings it back. He howls and rears up on his hind legs when he sees me get one out of the drawer.
