Finally getting settled back on Long Island. So it's time to get the upgrade going!

75g RR corner overflow
Eshopps R-200 refugium/sump

Equipment so far:
Reef Octopus NW-110
BRS Dual Reactor, also have a phosban reactors laying around haven't decided yet
Ehiem pump 2400

Still plan on getting:
Apex
Mp-40?
Haven't decided on my lighting yet checking into the Kessil 360we, but hard for me to get away from T5

New toys just showed up today! I'm like a kid on Christmas. Just have to finish the plumbing and hopefully get this thing filled with water the next few days.

Have been cycling new dry rock in a tank with some live rock for about 2 weeks now so hopefully that will help speed it along once this setup gets filled.

That's it for now. Any and all input is appreciated. I'll get more pics up once I get this thing up and running!

ooh, this looks like it's going to be fun.

I actually just switched from t5 to LEDs.
Well...not a complete switch. I still have my t5s I'm going to use the lEDs for a month or so and then see which one I like best.

Any pictures of your sump (I'm a fan of sumps).
:)

Here's the sump now. I'm still debating and working on my plumbing. middle area is designed to be a refugium. Can't see the final chamber in this pic. Hopefully tomorrow this time I'll have all the plumbing done and have some better pics.

These guys can't wait for their new home. (well most of them)

Nice sump!

What is the orange fish?

Do you plan on keeping those clowns? (my tomatoes are living in the sump. I don't want to part with them, but can't keep them as bullies in my DT).

orange is the flameback angel

Not sure what my plan is for them or the angel. The clowns are Hybrids, they are a combo of tomato and sebea clowns. The current tank they are in will stay up for awhile so we'll see.

So I finished up all the main plumbing on the sump tonight. Have to make another run to Home Depot or Lowes to get different size adapter to pipe in the reactors. Very happy so far with how its working out. I want it to be very clean and organized. Probably over thinking it...

And started filling the tank!

Update

Update

Added sand into the tank about a week ago. Such a dust cloud still battling it today after changing out the filter bag. I even bought the stuff that is bagged wet and claims to be dust free. Doesn't matter still so many fine particles.

Moved over most of the live rock from the small tank it was being kept in for the last month. Think i'm just going to go with this open aquascape. Gives SPS plenty of room to grow and cover the channels. We'll see... still going to be awhile before I put fish or coral in the this tank anyway.

The eshopps sump runs at a 10" depth in the skimmer chamber. The Reef Octopus skimmer says to run at 6"-7 3/4" so I ended up getting the reef octopus skimmer stand.

I had 2 korilia pumps laying around in the tank for some added flow right now. Found a Jaebo WP-25 on amazon over the weekend for 60 with prime. Figured i'd see what the hype was all about. Saw a video on youtube of 2 on a 75 and the tank had some big waves.

Quick update since it's been a few weeks.

Dual reactor is in line and running carbon and gfo. After all rock was added phosphates went to 0.08, but are back down to 0.00 on my hanna reader now.

Added a few fish to the setup last weekend, and rainsford goby, yellownose goby, and a few flasher and fairy wrasses. All has went well so far plan on adding a Kole or 2 spot bristletooth tang, a few more wrasses, and a jawfish.

Went to NERAC today came home with a ton of great zoanthid frags and a nice sps piece also. But I think the best contribution will be my purchase from Marco Rocks. I think this is really going to give a great look to my aquascape. Both are flat cut so they can fit against the back wall and give and ton of locations to put frags up higher. Tank clouded up so I will get a new FTS tomorrow to show off the new look to the aquascape.

that beer was goood :) cant want to see the rock work

That's why I finished the 6 pack while redoing my aquascape. We'll see how it looks this morn. Probably started strong and ended up all over the place

Sweet, definitely looking forward to seeing those rocks in your tank!

Also, how did you go from .08 phos to 0?
I have rowaphos running and have about 2" of the media in.

This product says it is supposed to last for many months, but if my phosphates are continuously .08 area regardless of the WC, light feeding, etc then this rowaphos kit will only last 2 mos.

I took my carbon offline today so I can use the reactor to run rowaphos in both chambers. I'll test tomorrow night and see if it went down in 24hrs

I tested about 2.5-3 weeks later. Basically no fish load in there for that time period either and just top off no changes. I have done only one change in this setup and that was after i added all the fish. Took another reading and was still 0.00 on my Hanna checker.

Have you check TDS etc of your RODI lately? Or the fresh mix of saltwater before water changes? I also have a brand new phosban reactor laying around if you need it you can have it for a future frag. I'm also just using BRS GFO don't know much about the rowifas i'll look at it up after dinner.

Quick picture of how the aquascape worked out. Hard to see the detail on the far right side. Going to change that and some of the smaller rockwork along the front, but i think with the pillar and the larger piece on the back wall it will make for some great locations for sps. Looks a little different now but i'm pretty excited for how the coral in the aquascape can grow in.

Looking good. How do you like your eheim return pump? I have the same and I feel like it is weak. Don't even have a lot of head loss or to many elbows etc.
