Koralia Evolution running backwards?

So far all working fine after a little over a week being glued. Hydor also said they'd send me six replacement bushings as soon as they are available.

Update, so far the superglued pumps have all worked flawlessly since the mod at the end of March.

I also received six of the new replacement bushings from Hydor last week, great customer service!

The new bushing and wing are available. They are FREE. If you want to switch yours out, just contact Hydor via their website. Make sure to include your contact and shipping information. Also specify how many Evolutions you have that need the new bushing.

I have been using the new bushings for about a week now, and it has cured the running backwards problem. I was also having issues with an occasional non-restart, and that also has been fixed.

This is on the 750's (currently have 2 on a JBJ Ocean Pulse)

cool. I'm really glad to see Hydor man up and fix the problem this quick. So, what does everyone think of the flow? I was sceptical on how well these would work and I was about to blow a ton of money on vortechs. But now i'm thinking of getting two 1050's to run on my redsea wavemaster pro in my 75 gallon tank.

I would go with the 1400's. One vortech mp40 puts out over 3000 gph.

I sent back the one 1400 that kept locking up. The replacement one is so much different. It is quiet and not making any clacking noise when it starts up.:D

I had the same issue with my new koralias, and I made the glued mod. But, I made it with cianocrilate and they are working quite well. I did this because I can unglue the bushing once I had the chance to get the new bushing and wing replacements. Just be carefull not to get any glue inside bushing, and I mean, any. It happened to me and I had to use very fine sand paper to take it out, as the wing fail to turn
2 weeks and working fine.

Saludos

My 750 goes backward then forward alternating each time. This is just more random flow for me.

Does anyone have links to (old or new) koralia mods?

what # do i need to call to get some replacement bushings from Hydor ? the site has the same # for voice and fax but all i get is the the fax.

I ran into the issue with my Evo 750s not starting. Apparently the shaft had moved forward a bit, and the tip of the prop was resting right on that rubber stopper, so the pump wouldn't start at all. After playing with it a little last night, they seemed to be working, but I'm not so keen on having two problems with the pumps in less than 2 months of having them. I was out of town on business for two days, so apparently my tank had no circulation while i was gone, so my tank looked like crap

I did just install the new bushings last night(after I noticed this problem), but I had already cleaned the previous ones with Dial and theyweren't starting backwards.

I bought 1 to cycle my 125 the on Thursday and I have unplugged it 10 times in 2 days and it hasn't started backwards once and is dead silent then again its not on a wavemaker, or a reefkeeper. I like the flow and think for a 6' tank it is good but I will be adding a second 1400 to position right underneath the one I have now to really push some water. Since I'm going for more of a Gyre flow I think that Koralia's work great for me and are reasonably priced. I wish you could buy the MP40 seperate from the controller and just run it 100% all the time until you wanted or could afford (in my case) the controller...3000gph vs. 1400 would be nice. How much did everyone pay for their 1400's? I payed 59.99 for mine...

Great, just got two 1050s today to replace my 750s for more flow, and Premium is still sending out the Evos with the bad bushings.

Guess I have to call Hydor yet again.
