i just spoke with henry at reef aquarium on bird today and he said he saw these this weekend and liked them so much he is deciding to stock them, so hell be ordering a bunch and said he should have them by the end of the week next week.. i helped him settle on like 6 #4s and 3 or 4 #3s to test the local market... i told him if i think they are small enough i may buy one or two off him...if you guys want more you can give him a call and let him know so he can order more...
Whats he gonna charge is the question?

he asked me about pricing... i gave him the prices Marine Depot charges as a starting place...

hopefully hell take my advice... i needed phosban bad and i had to pay 20.99 - easily 8 more than online... but i figured with shipping it would have come out the same...

Loyal, did you know I was Jamaican and or is that a coincidence....lol

Oh and happy birthday again.....
LOL. I had no idea... but since you mentioned it I think a little change is needed. ;)

Thanks again, mang.

On another note, I called them at lunch today and our order was boxed and waiting for UPS pickup.
They were supposed to email me a tracking # after it shipped, but I haven't received anything.
They may have misspelled my email addy.
I'll call them tomorrow to get the tracking # over the phone.
I can't wait to change out my old PHs for these badboys.

Earlier today I was looking at the mfr's website, and it seems that the attachment is a combination of a giant suctioncup with magnets.
Maybe the suctioncup acts as a buffer between the magnet and the glass which would explain why someone said they were quieter than the tunzes...
NewReefBishop, can you confirm what kind of attachment they have?

It is a combination of suction cup and magnets....its a mildsuction at first but once the magnet is in place after say a day or so....it seems that suction increases.....either way its quiet and sturdy...

Ok, called this morn.
UPS tracking # is 1z82e0e60300671169
Shipped yesterday and has an ETA of Tues 3/6.
I'll be home on vacation all next week so I'll get my grubby little mitts on them the moment the truck pulls up to the house.

Wednesday is double points day at Big Al's so I'll definitely be there Wed spending the giftcard I got for my B-day if anyone wants to meet me there.
Otherwise we can make arrangements for the best time and place to meet.

**EDIT**
I just remebered ReefLife does their Fragstravaganza on Wed night.
In that case, I'll be at Big Al's during the day and I'll stop by ReefLife in the evening.
(wonder if they want a few pounds of xenia...) :p

Hey ninjamini,
Clean out your inbox.

Thanks for the offer, but it's not necessary.
By vacation I mean I'll be home all next week because I'm not going to work. :D
I'll just be playing in the tanks and schlepping around the house all week. (Oh yeah, and sitting in the driveway, rocking back and forth, waiting for the big brown truck.)
I haven't had $$$ to go anywhere on vacation since I started this hobby. LOL

Inbox clear. I said that because I've had stuff stolen from my door before. ITs funny my company will put signature required on the meaningless stuff but not on the stuff of value.

Wait...wait...you took time off of work to just sit home. Dude that sucks. At least go to the keys and do some diving and bring back some fish.

Very true, Newreefbishop. Once mine were in place, they REALLY stayed in place, the combination magnet / suction cup works really well. I would assume that the rubber suction cups in both sides of the glass act as a vibration buffer. My 400's are completely silent and the 850's produce a barely audible hum (the fans on the light fixture make more noise than the 850's). I've been very pleased with their performance so far and they seem to be very invert friendly... my peppermint shrimp get right on top of the pump to catch food tidbits when I feed the tank and the snails crawl all over the intake. If either gets to close to the output, they simply get blown off by the water flow.

I have to pick my vacations a year in advance.
This was the closest to my b-day.
Funny thing is you read my mind... I've already tried to talk the wife into going down to the keys for a dive trip, but got shot down.
We're in the middle of building the new office addition, I still have to run all the phone/tv/data cables before the sheetrock goes up, the livingroom baseboard isn't finished (going on 3yrs now. lol), and we have 3 large ecommerce websites that clients are waiting on... *sigh* :(

Dude thats just crazy. Hell I'm spoiled. I just call my boss and say..."I going to...this week. Be back next week, month..."

That's just part of something you have to accept when you're in a union job and you have a 300-page, 5 year contract that negotiates everything down to the time of day you're allowed to take a dump.

:p

they're still processing internet orders until 6pm and they'll probably be out of stock after everyone gets home at 5.
I was right.
They were completely out of stock on both the #3 and #4 the next day.

Hmmm.... I wonder how much I can get on Ebay for these things?

"Oops guys, looks like they might have 'lost' our shipment"... *wink*

What time will you be at Reef Life? I can meet you there to pick mine up - probably around 7 pm...is that ok for you?

If anyone else wants to meet there we can all agree on a time.
I'm very flexible as I'm on vacation this week and wed night is the wife's church night so I'm free all night long.
I can be there any time between 5 and 8 while they're chopping frags.

LoyalRogue, you have PM.....
PM replied.
(I thought you finally noticed the change I made on the last page to the Red Stripe dude... lol)

You can pick them up as soon as they get here.
(I can't wait to get them in my tank too.)

Right now they're on schedule for Tues delivery.
You can track them at UPS.com with the tracking # 1z82e0e60300671169 or by clicking this link: http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/...ndConditions=yes&ignore=&track.x=25&track.y=6

Either way, I'll still be going to ReefLife on wed night for the fragstravaganza, and to meet Jon770.

Hey Jon770, you asked me about xenia before the fragswap.
How big a piece do you want?
I'll bring you a freebie.
