Koralia powerheads anywhere local?

loyalrogue, what's the good word?
He made the word, and he saw that the word was good! :D
Woot! They're here and I'm just setting mine up and removing my old PH's.
Pics and opinion coming very soon...

So are we still meeting @ Reef Life tomorrow? 7:00-7:30 pm?

What's my final "Bill"? Also, loyalrogue, is there any way you can copy/print out the reciept from Premium Aquatics? I think it will be a good idea if I had it just in case the pump breaks and/or needs to be returned due to the recall issue....

7:00-7:30pm sounds good to me. I'll be there.

I'll make sure everyone gets a copy of the invoice with their pumps.

Sorry for the delay.
I had newreefbishop stop by, and had to eat and clean up before a webdesign client appointment tonight.

I think that a per pump split is fair enough, don't you?
That would be $1.58 for 1 pump and $3.16 for 2 pumps.
That would make each buyer's total as follows:

loyalrogue (me) - two #4 = $103.14

ninjamini - one #3 = $41.57

gasman059 - one #4 = $51.57

CiroFuentes22 - two #3 = $83.14

Jon770 - two #3 = $83.14

** Off Topic **

Hey newreefbishop, clean out your inbox.
Sorry to rush you out the door earlier.
The wife likes to have the house perfect when a client is stopping by, and I was starting to get the "clean up your fish crap and help me now, or you'll be sleeping on the couch" vibe.
:D

To everyone who participated in this group buy, I will be bringing all the Koralias and your copies of the invoice to ReefLife tomorrow, Wednesday night, 7:00-7:30pm.
If you would like to pick them up right away, and join in the Fragstravaganza as a bonus, I'll see you there.
Otherwise I'll be at the next club meeting, or you can PM me and make arrangements to get yours.

On a side note, for everyone who's been wondering how much anemone destructive suction these babies make, here's a video of a 1200gph #4 Koralia and a xenia frag:

Btw, that frag of xenia had been stuck to the side intake of that pump for the last hour with no damage.
As you can see, I have a BTA about 8-10" away in the lower lefthand corner of that video, and I don't think I'm too worried about him anymore.
Knock on wood.

Thanks for the heads-up, db.
You're a little late to the game. (tho when it comes to safety, better late than never)
Gasman already posted about the recall here: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1063277 and I'm still waiting for a reply to my email to Hydor.

John, Thanks again for everything, everything opened nicely this morning under actinics. This inbox is cleaned, and I will have some pics this evening....

You'll have to come over for a beer and some tanktalk when I'm not so rushed next time.
Maybe I'll even have one of the tanks cleaned-up and aquascaped for a change... lol

I just spoke to the importer and distributor of the Koralia and he said that Hydor has not said what the issue is on the 2's and 3's.

He did however say that Hydor wants them all back and not to use them.

He also said that there would be more in the country at the end of the month, they are on a slow boat from Italy. We can either send them back to him or back to back to tfj. He also said that the return shipping was being reimbursed by Hydor. He would do a will call for them and I would guess that tfj would do the same.

I think that I will go directly through Hrdor as I expect that I would receive it faster through them.

Thanks for following up and getting more info.
I was wondering about the shipping charges on the returns.
Did you get any info on a return address, who to attention them to?

I'm a little disappointed that Hydor never replied to my email, and also with the poor communication with/from their distributors on this.
Seems like an awesome product at a great price, but they could end up shooting themselves in the foot for not handling this right.

Hey John I have an email address from which they will respond. hydor.usa@hydor.com I sent an email to them, and got a response in less than 24 hours. If you want to find out what they said to me PM me I am not sure I want to put it in the forum.
