lol its comming on friday, i did get my 2 dj strips, savko, flex pvc, glassholes, and fosters and smith order today, all thats left is the box o crap, the rest of my f&s order(how did the 50 pound box of salt beat the 2 pound box with the rest of my order by 4 days?) and my usplastics order(black acrylic).

i should mentioned the red sponge is attached to somekind of oyster if had to take a guess, it finally found a spot it likes but its only 1/2" away from the glass :mad2:

using the bean animal method for my 40 breeder:
so i have not been able to find a 1" pvc sanitary tee, since i got the 1" trueunion ball valve i am just going to use a 1.5" sanitary tee and place adapters to 1". i dont see a problem with it, what about anyone else.

Nice, looks like it's holding the green base and stubby polyps for you.... have you gotten good growth out of it?

I would just use a normal 1" tee.

Bushings are annoying to work with and if you're going to reduce the flow at the ball valve might as well reduce it at the bulkhead as well. I'm sure you'll get plenty of flow.

everything will be 1"except the sanitary tee, i know that it would provide a good amount of resistance tho if i went with regular tee but i am willing to try it out.

here is the first pic of it around the 1st of feb, i left it at the bottom of the tank untill last month, i think i would have had better growth if i had moved it up sooner.

In your particular application, I don't think the 90 degree change vs the sweep is going to make a difference.

still waiting for the return pump to get here, i ordered a mag 7, besides that i just need the tank which comes in on thursday.
going to try doing a manifold on the return also so i can use my extra TLF reactor.

the copperbanded is eating even better today, its eating everyother mysis instead of 1 out of 10. anthias is taking any frozen i put in the tank. its kinda of funny but the only time the CBB is eating for sure is when the clown goby is going for the same mysis.

quick pic of him, he is looking alot better then he did at the LFS last week.

i ordered some PE mysis today and it should be here in the morning. i also ordered 6 other types of frozen food from Docs F&S that i couldnt find here locally.
