Very nice tank!

Does you navarchus behave with your corals? ... I really want one! Like your fish selection overall.

I am thinking about trying a Juv. Emp one day. I do have an open brain in my tank though.

When you say 2 sheets, how big are these sheets? And is there a meaning to the 1 day off on nori? Was this something you were told that you should do, or you just like to tease your fish?:p
Thanks for the updated pictures. I've got a morphing ABT in my tank now too. I'll try to get a picture of it some time. It's definitely true that it is hard to show how nice these guys really look compared to how they look in pictures. The blue, especially along the perimeter, is so nice!

As soon as the LFS gets a juv. Emp. I'll be adding that to the tank too. I'm also waiting for a Golden Angel, but I know that will be quite a challenge in getting it to eat first.

Thanks everyone. I sure learned a lot from people like dgasmd and copps. These gentlemen were some of the first in my area to have large tanks and it was great to watch and learn from them.

This phot doesn't do it justice (plus I'm not good with camera) but the earlier photos show just how big my ABT is - aka "big blue"

I probably did put to many fish in the tank - a product of having several fish in two old tanks [125 & 120] and not wanting to part with any when I combined systems into this 215. Just glad I got a big skimmer.

Emp only really picked on a open brain I tried shortly after I combined tanks. Idol does pick on leathers - green finger and sarco. I have one small squamosa in tank. I had few others that have since been moved to refugium stock tank. They were not looking well - I think a product of to much movement in tank Its possible someone was picking, but I never say any fish pick on clams, just slow progression to less extension. Since move to back, all clams look great. Maybe down road, I may add them back.

I did add a mystery wrasse last week, local store had on sale for $142 less club membership discount so I got a good deal on it. :D I was a bit nervous putting in a expensive fish with an established 6 line wrasse in tank. However, I can honestly report that much to my surprise, they do not fight or chase each other. The 6 line will swim by and they look at each other and go about their own hunting business. I do have egg-crate along back of canopy to prevent jumps. Will try for a photo later this week.

NICE!!!

Thanks for sharing the updated pics.

Is that a Golden Angel in there? Did it take you long to get him to start eating?

How do the Majestic and Emperor get along? Does your Emperor grunt at all?

Happy Holidays all.

Thanks for complements.

It's a potters angel. Emperor chases the majestic a little, especially when I feed nori. To aid majestic, I put nori in two spots on opposite ends of tank.

Yes the emperor does grunt a lot. Very cool to hear. Any time it wants food and I stand in front of tank it grunts as you call it. I think it makes sound with air bladder if I remember right from angel book I have.

Beautiful tank! I really like your aquascaping. Did you build any kind of PVC frame for the "bridges" you have set up?

Thanks.

No pvc frame - pure rock - lots of big chunks. I got a lot of nice large pieces from Dr. Mac's pacific east aquaculture shop. The center vertical piece is one large rock. Upper center horizontal piece is one large flat rock close to 20" long. I've never been a fan of a tank that has rocks just stacked in pile with no holes or caves. Maybe luck, maybe smart, but when I bought the rock, I looked for large pieces - even if it cost more, I wanted big pieces. In long run, easier to create something.

The tank is really taking off tese last few months. Not sure if it's the magic 9 month mark or that plus steady calcium levels with calcium reactor and auto topoff unit that keep things steady, but corals are growing great and color looks good - to me at least.

Those rocks are good finds, great job in placing them so well. I also like the look of some open space and caves.

Looking forward to seeing further progress as the tanks matures, please keep posting pics!
