Chiller Mount & Metal Cart Sketch

Chiller Mount & Metal Cart Sketch

First off is a mount I welded for the chiller to be placed above the A/C unit outside so as to keep sound/noise to a minimum inside the house.

Secondly is a sketch of a steel cart I will have to put together to get the tank into the house without people having to carry it the whole way (and possibly drop it!).

BTW ... I need your input!

I am looking into purchasing three return pumps that produce anywhere from 5,000 gph to 7,000 gph...one of the three will be returning water from the garage area and the other two will be closed loops for the two Ocean Motion Units.
Any brand that you guys would suggest that is powerful but efficient??? I'm hoping I can use approximately 200 watts per hour or less (if that's possible!).

Thanks Guys

George
I only have a reeflo dart 3600 gph less than 120 watts as return
And everything else is gravity feed
Skimmer, used be chiller, gfo, carbon And refugium.
But My internal flow was over 50,000 gallons per hour but it's not good with sugar sized sand so now I have about 30,000 and it's still a lot .
2* 6305 2*6215 wave box 4* 6045 only less than 200 watts total.
My electric bill is still negative even with a very small solar system 4 kwh with 435 gallon display and 3700 sqft house.

Close loop is nice but it's a energy hog IMO

Custom Cart For the Glass Tank!

Custom Cart For the Glass Tank!

I had to have my guy put together a 1/4" metal cart to bring the glass into the home next week! I'm surprised how big this beast of a cart is! At least I can use I for my construction company (I guess :eek1:).

Looks like you are progressing fast! This is an exciting thread to follow...

What's your final decision on lighting? I've heard great things about LED lights with radion.

Also...

What will your total volume of water be??

Will you be starting with dead or live rock?? What is everyone's input on this?

I only have a 215 gal main display, (about 325 total system volume), but I used a majority of dry marco rock on my system (sparse rock work) and then seeded it with 5 or 6 smaller established pieces of live rock. I also threw established rock in my sump. The main display rock turned purple in 3 or 4 months.

I've made my final decision on lighting...I'm getting 3 M/H lights 400watts each 10k ushiobulbs with lumenmax elite reflectors and lumatek ballasts! I'm also going rouse geisman t-5s 60" bulbs (4 true actinics, 4 royal blues, 4 pinks)!

The water volume is 560 main tank
200 gallon water vat
100 gallon sump

I believe I will use 50% dead and 50% live from my current tank to seed the new tank!

The disaster Continues!!!
I demolished the steps leading out from the sliding door, removed the sliding door itself, and then closed it off with drywall and water paper on the other side!!! My home continues to look like a bomb hit it! LoL

It's called the Reef bomb lol. I had one go off at my house too :)

You are really coming along nicely. I love the size of the tank I really wish I had room for that.

This is the metal cart that I welded together and now placed carpet on top of just to get the tank from the driveway to the living room! WoW

Now to Lift it with the Material Lifts!

Now to Lift it with the Material Lifts!

This day was soo stressful ....A Glass tank that weighs so much that eight men couldn't lift it! And any scratch would have been unforgivable!
