I have had my crazy experiences with Ich that I will never forget and hopefully not repeat! When I first got into reef keeping I was not really clued into the importance of having a quarantine tank and quarantining your fish for a certain amount of time. So an Ich epidemic broke out and I had no way to treat the fish so I had to quickly set up a quarantine tank and throw all of my fish into it with little success...I lost 15 of my 20 fishes and I was devastated!
That is why I have put alot of attention into setting up a nice quarantine tank this time around and have made my quarantine tank a large set up so that bigger fish that will go into my show tank will not be stressed out. The new quarantine tank that I have set up is 5ft long and is 130gallon system. Hopefully I can avoid as much Ich as possible! :debi: :fun5:

I am definitely adding some yellow tangs...I love those bright fish, they always bring life into a reef!

Love the large naso and the flame wrasse
I miss mine but my tank is too full more fish

I love the Naso Tang as well but it's only been three days, but he is not that interested in food yet and I am trying not, spriulina, and mysis.. Any ideas?

You have a great build going and attention to detail is stellar. I have one question. I was looking for the "special concrete" and found different variations. Which one did you use?

The kind I used is called Emaco GP and it was great but it dries super fast so within 5-10 mins you have to have used it...even if it was really liquid it seemed to set fast and within a few hours was ready! So make sure the formations you are trying to achieve is set and thought out before you use it!
Something else that I've tried recently is EcoMarine's CG coral glue and it comes in a decent size container and it dries and sets in a couple of hours and it works great on rocks as well! I will post a picture of a rock formation I just made with that glue!
Thanks for the encouragement and I'm trying my best to think ahead and not have to make a decision for the tank that I will regret or will cause me to repurchase something! I had that problem with my last tank where I wouldn't go all the way on something and months later I would have to re-buy it! :headwallblue:

Here is a picture of a new "Anemone Island" that I made out of rubble that I had and a few bigger pieces...The idea behind this island was to produce a place where my rose anemones could feel comfortable with a lot of crevices and opening where they could burry their foot and could feel safe and would be able to move around without touch my corals.
So the "Anemone Island is about 11" across by 7" inches high and I put it together using the Ecotech glue and I glued it together outside the tank and then a few hours later placed it into the tank.
So far I have bought three small rose anemones and i'll post pictures of them in they're new home!

Algae bloom!
I'm having an algae bloom that is driving me crazy but my phosphates are at 0-.25 and my roaphos is just 2 months old!
Here is the picture of the algae and it's on the sand and even on the corals! Any thoughts???
