LAK's 15g Cube

Also,

As TJ said in his thread, my stocking list has changed. Instead of adding the 2 bangii's I will be getting a pair of clownfish. I am kind of pondering what species to get, but they will be the last fish I add, so I have some time to think about it. I also have a perfect spot for an anemone!

My new stocking list is:
2 clownfish
2 clown gobies
1 blenny
1 shrimp/goby pair
2 cleaner shrimp

CUC:
10 blue leg hermits
10 cerith snails
5 super tongan nas. snails

Lol.

Are those really the only 3 "nano" skimmers you recommend I get TJ?
Yes, and there is a reason those 3 were chosen.

The RHS order is here, unpacked, and floating. Everything was made it except Laura's Green Clown Goby. Apparently they were out of stock at the time the shipment was being prepared. So that will have to be ordered another time. Also, the Yellow Clown Goby is maybe 1/4"

One thing I'm a little leary about... the Super Tongan Nas snails are black, and have a different shell than the ones I am used too. :(

I figured. I thought maybe there was a slight chance that you had no idea what you were talking about :)

that reminds me
my wife called me one day a couple of months ago when i was sick and she went to go see the SW order at my LFS. Called and said they had tongan nass snails so i had her pick them up. when she gets home i take one look at them they look nothing like the tongan nass i have had in the past. they dont look like the ones i got from RHS and pics i have seen on them. they have dark shells and tatoos. to me they almost looked like giant welks. i put them in the sump, half of them acted like nass snail even tho they had dark shells the other half didnt so i was not sad to see most of them die a couple weeks later. My LFS swore they were tongan nass snails but i have had my doubts.

errr back to the quote, i would prob put them in the stock tank and see how they act swift

Thanks Mitchell. I'm really pumped! It looks perfect with the 3 rocks I added. I hate to admit that TJ was right, though.

These are going to look REAL nice! I'm definitely jealous. :inlove:

Yeah Laura will be getting one of my Nightmare Palys in trade for one of the new Palys. Hopefully that way we can get colonies going in each tank, so if anything should happen... one of us can replenish the loss.

My Nightmare Palys, which I think look more like Darth Mauls due to the striping on the skirts. have grown from just 2 polyps with 2 little buds, to 4 full size polyps and a 1 new little bud in about a week! :eek2:

I'm looking to get the Warner Marine H1 skimmer for my 15g. I really like the fact that the pump is outside the tank, unlike the Remora I am currently running. I have heard they run quiet. I can't find one actually for sale tho!

Edit: Found one at Aquarium Specialty and placed an order. :D

The clean up crew is now in the tank and doing well.

The clown goby is also in the tank. I was a little nervous about him because he was hiding, but as soon as the lights went off he came right out into the open and perched on one of my shelf rocks! He is only a 1/2 inch maybe..so cute!

Glad to hear that everything is coming together and that you now have something to watch other than the ripples formed by the powerheads. The rockscape looks great with the extra rock you guys added. I remember going to look at a couple of clown gobies that a LFS advertised on their website. When I got there and saw the sign on the tank that was holding them I thought shoot they sold out allready, then I saw a speck move in the tank. Low and behold it was a clown goby that was a half inch long. I figured at that point it was a little to small to add to my 120g for fear of it being bullied to death by my tangs. Maybe some day I'll try one out to see how it makes out cause they are so Cute as you said!

Thanks Frosty! He is very cute, but sooo little. I think I'm going to get a few more, actually!

Here are the best pics I could get of him:
