Large aquarium moving company?

Im considering buying a very large 8 foot long aquarium private party, and i have no idea how to ship this thing. Anyone know of any companies that specialize in this sort of thing?

Any moving company "should" be able to handle it..


Of course stating your location would allow us to at least know where in the world you are located to maybe provide a better answer..

A google search for "riggers and craters" in the local area of where you are purchasing may turn up some good choices...

I just personally moved a 500 gallon glass tank from Michigan to South Carolina. Lots of driving and a Uhaul trailer. With some thought, it can be done without ever "picking it up". Which I preferred to take out the human error side of things. Uhaul has workers you can hire for an hour (what I did). Total of 2 haul works and myself and a friend moved it from inside to the trailer and then into my house. PM if you'd like more info.

Just my opinion, but moving is stressful enough without having to move an 8 foot delicate monster from Florida to Pennsylvania. I would move first and then buy the tank after I was settled in. Much less hassle.
