Large rock anemones

I have read up on them, and see that they can and will eat small fish, if they swim into it. Also, that they have a very strong sting.

However, from what ive read, they generally do not move unless you go out of your way to tick them off, once they have settled.

I was wondering if anyone else has a large one, and can share their knowledge on the subject.

When inflated, mine is about 5-6" across. Red, pink, and white tentacles with a dark purple body.

Pics later tonight.

Rock/flower anomone,I have one that is 8'' across. It is in a 12 gallon nano with a pair of oc clowns and ywg.It has not bothered /stung any of my fish.It has not moved since placed in tank 2 years ago.I feed it once a week.

Yeah, I have a couple of green rock anemones (Epicystis crucifer). I love them. They don't move much at all, they eat whatever I feed them, and they are pretty. Mine can spread out to 7 or 8 inches as well. Both of mine are males, because I have seen them spawn before. They originate from the carribean sea, south florida, etc. I would love to get one with the coloration of yours. Look forward to your pics.

Here's one of mine.

These are cool little anemones. They don't bother anyone. I've never lost a fish to one of them. (any anemone can eat fish if situations are right, though)
They can reproduce in captivity without help from us. I had a florescent peach colored one that spit probably about 100 young out of its mouth. Within days I had tiny little peach colored anemones growing on the rocks.

I had a neon green one you about 2 years before I passed it along to another reefer to make space. Mine never moved, never ate a fish, and ate anything I prepared for it. Mine started out the size of a half dollar and grew to about 6 inches. BTW...yours is very nice!!!

I really like it, the pink is subtle, I think its rather patriotic. At a quick glance, its just RED WHITE AND BLUE....how can you go wrong with combo.

Ditto That, that is a AWESOME nem.

I have not seen these at my LFS or done much research on them, but how hard are they to keep and how much do they go for?

these colors bring a insane premium. I traded some chalice for mine, but they are 250 and up...

Wow!!! I bought mine for 12 bucks but it was totally bleached out with no color when I bought it.

That was a very old pic, and obviously under actinics only.

This anemone is about 10-12 inches in diameter and I have never had a problem with it.
