last big fish

looking for some recommendations for a last bigger fish. tank is a 180 gallon reef tank with SPS so angels and butterflies are a no go. so far we have a purple tang, powder brown tang, two clowns, yellow accessor, two cardinal fish, monster goby with pistol shrimp, melanarus wrasse and a lawnmower blenny

Emperor angel? That's my dream fish.

Maybe an Aussie Harlequin Tusk? Cuban hogfish? Moorish Idol?

I was always told angels were usually not reef safe. Moorish idols have a pretty poor survival rate

If you want an angel look into the genicanthus angels. They are reef safe large angels.

not really sure what we want. I love nasos but I don't think it would be happy in a 180

we actually just sold the one we had because he was a jerk and stabbed our purple tang.

Did the tang disserve it?

I like the genicanthus angel suggestion. Watanabe or bellus are both showstoppers.

no the foxface was pretty aggressive surprisingly. ill look into the wantanabe or bellus and see if we like either of those

For the angel, if you don't want to spend big bucks, the female spotbreast is really pretty too.

I've kept the emperor with SPS (have one now), without any issues. It will eat the fleshly polyped LPS though.

don't think the emperor will work I have a lot of LPS too. the wantanabe angel is nice looking

They are stunning! Need a lot of food and don't do QT very well. Need a big QT and treat with chloroquine, not copper.

Engineer goby? They get to about 1ft. Unless you are looking for a swimmer.

Seconded. Got a group. They're tough on Xenia, but safe otherwise.
